Notes:

  • Alec Hansen lasted just two innings in his shortest start of the season. He previously pitched three innings against Notre Dame (2/14) on opening weekend.
  • Kolbey Carpenter notched his team-leading 27th multi-hit game of the season and his eighth three-hit performance. It is the most by a Sooner since Garrett Buechele's 30 in 2010.
  • Robert Tasin posted his seventh multi-hit and fifth multi-RBI game of the season.
  • Oklahoma improved to 34-30 all-time at the Big 12 Championship and 3-2 against Kansas State.
  • Anthony Hermelyn had his career-best hit streak snapped at 12 games.
  • Jeffrey Curran pitched 5.1-scoreless inning in his second longest outing of the season.
  • The Sooners last won back-to-back elimination games in 2001 with wins over Texas and Texas Tech. The only other time OU won back-to-back elimination games was in 1997 when Oklahoma came out of the loser's bracket to claim the inaugural Big 12 title.
  • Through three games, Hunter Haley is hitting a team-best .462 this week followed by Hermelyn (.455) and Hunter Haley (.417).
  • Haley recorded his eighth multi-hit game of the year 11th double of the season.
  • Jacob Evans' sixth win of the season was the 16th of his career.
  • The win was the fourth for Oklahoma when trailing after seven and second when trailing after eight. The last was a walk-off against Kansas (4/2/15).
