FORT WORTH - In 2010, Oklahoma made its first-ever appearance in the Super Six.

Six years later, K.J. Kindler has led her program to its fifth appearance in the NCAA's championship meet.

The No. 1 Sooners posted a 197.400 to take first place in the second preliminary session and advance to Saturday's Super Six team final. OU posted three scores of 49.475 or better and will be joined in the final by Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Stanford and Utah.

The Sooners totaled 13 All-America honors from nine different gymnasts as the squad continued to shine across all four events. The tally marks a program record, with the previous high coming in 2011 with 11 honors.

A trio of Sooners led the way, earning multiple first team honors. Junior Haley Scaman increased her career total to four accolades, capturing first team honors on floor and vault with matching scores of 9.95. Junior Keeley Kmieciak earned her first two career honors, earning first team recognition on bars and beam with two 9.9s. Freshman Brenna Dowell added first team awards on both bars (9.95) and floor (9.925).

Scaman finished with top honors on bars and floor with her efforts on the events in the session.

Sophomore Chayse Capps picked up first team honors on beam (9.9) and second team honors on vault (9.9), becoming a three-time All-American in the first two years of her Sooner career.

Freshman Ali Jackson, sophomore McKenzie Wofford and senior Rebecca Clark rounded out first team honors for the Sooners. Jackson vaulted to a 9.95 while sharing the event title, Wofford earning a 9.95 for honors on bars and a share of the event crown and Clark nabbed beam honors with a 9.9. The honor is the second of Clark's career.

Sophomore Charity Jones picked up second team honors on vault (9.9) and senior Erica Brewer earned second team honors on beam (9.9). The honor was the first of Jones' career, while Brewer will cap her career as a Sooner with five total All-America honors.

Following a bye in the first rotation of the session, the Sooners entered the arena to open on floor exercise and went big with a 49.475. Efforts from Brewer (9.85), Capps (9.875) and Kara Lovan (9.875) led the way at the beginning of the rotation. The backend of OU's lineup was stellar, culminating in a huge 9.95 routine from anchor Scaman. Dowell was also strong in the No. 4 position with a 9.925 performance.

Oklahoma moved directly to vault for its second rotation, exploding for a 49.550--one of its top scores of the season. Jones started on a huge note, nailing her Yurchenko full for a career-high 9.9 in only her second appearance on the event this season. Kmieciak (9.85) and Capps (9.9) kept things rolling leading into a pair of excellent performances in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots.

Jackson nailed her Yurchenko 1.5 for a 9.95 to tie her career-high and spark the Sooners. Feeding off the enormous energy from Jackson, Scaman stuck the final vault of the lineup and earned a second 9.95 fo contribute to an outstanding effort.

The Sooners returned to the podium for uneven bars in the fourth rotation, soaring to a 49.500 behind Wofford and Dowell's 9.95 performances. Each was exquisite in their efforts, display precision in every aspect of their routines. Kmeiciak was solid and strong for a 9.9 and was joined by a pair of 9.85s from Clark and Brewer on the apparatus. It was a rotation that built momentum throughout, culminating in Wofford and Dowell's powerful performances. 

In the final rotation of the night, the Sooners battled several uncharacteristic mistakes on beam but muscled through to earn a 48.875. Mental strength proved pivotal for Oklahoma--after suffering two falls early in the lineup, the backend of OU's lineup came through with no score below a 9.85. A strong 9.9 from Kmieciak opened the lineup and secure veteran performances from Clark and Capps earned identical 9.9s. Brewer closed with a 9.85 for keep the Sooners in command of the lead as the night closed.

OU's 197.400 secured the top spot of the evening and boosted the squad to a third consecutive Super Six appearance. Behind Alabama and Auburn, Nebraska took fourth (196.675), LSU finished fifth (196.550) and Oregon State took sixth (195.875).

Oklahoma will look to defend their 2014 NCAA title in the Super Six team finals tomorrow night at 6 p.m. CT. The meet will be streamed live on WatchESPN.com, with live stats available at NCAA.com. Oklahoma will be in the same rotation order tomorrow evening, beginning on the bye before floor.
