Coale Named WBCA Victory Club Recipient

NORMAN – Oklahoma women's basketball head coach Sherri Coale is one of 48 high school and college coaches to be named a 2015 WBCA Victory Club Award recipient. The WBCA Victory Club Awards honors WBCA member head coaches who achieve career wins of 200, 300, 400, 500 or more during the current season.

Coale, who finished her 19th year as the head coach of the Sooners in 2014-15, reached 400 career wins on Nov. 14 as Oklahoma defeated Washington to open the season. Coale is one of 10 coaches being honored for achieving 400 wins this season.

Coale will be recognized during the Fifth Annual WBCA Awards Show, which will be held at 4:30 p.m. CT Monday, April 6 in Tampa. The event is part of the WBCA National Convention and is held in conjunction with the NCAA Women's Final Four.
