Notes:

  • Alec Hansen pitched his first career complete game and the first for the Sooners since Jonathan Gray against Coastal Carolina (5/31/14) in the NCAA Blacksburg Regional.
  • Hansen reached double digits in strikeouts with 10 for the second time this season.
  • Kolbey Carpenter hit leadoff for the first time in his career and went 4-for-4. It marked a career-high for Carpenter and the first four-hit day for a Sooner since Sheldon Neuse did so against Purdue (3/7/15).
  • Carpenter's three-run home run in the fifth tied him for the team-lead at five and was the 10th of his career.
  • Carpenter is a .486 (17-for-35) career hitter against Texas Tech with three home runs.
  • Kyle Mendenhall posted the first multi-hit game of his career with a 3-for-3 day.
  • Craig Aikin hit third for the first time in his career and Neuse hit fifth for the first time in his.
  • Oklahoma snapped a streak of five-straight regular season losses to the Red Raiders.
  • The Sooners are 1-2 against ranked opponents this season. Their last win over a ranked team came against Texas Tech (5/21/14) in the Big 12 Championship in walk-off fashion.
  • Attendance for Saturday's match-up with Texas Tech was 1,313. That is the fifth time that Oklahoma has played in front of 1,000-or-more fans at home.
