NORMAN – At the conclusion of an undefeated regular season slate, the Oklahoma women's gymnastics team stayed No. 1 for the 10th consecutive week on Monday.

It marks the first time in program history that the Sooners have spent the entire regular season in the top spot and stands as a feat that has not been achieved by any team in the NCAA since 2011.

Following its 197.725-197.500 defeat of No. 5 Alabama on the road over the weekend, Oklahoma was able to boost its Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) to a 197.860 this week. The average helped the Sooners to more than a one-tenth margin over second-place Florida. OU will have one final chance to boost its RQS with this weekend's Big 12 Championship meet in Norman.

RQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. RQS scores are used to determine seeding for regional competition at six campus sites in April.

The Sooners own top four rankings on every event, boasting a No. 1 ranking on beam for a fourth straight week (49.480), while also earning a No. 2 ranking on floor (49.470), the No. 3 spot on bars (49.475) and the No. 4 ranking on vault (49.495).

This week's individual top 25 marks an outstanding showing for the Sooners. The team pulled down 14 total appearances, including nine top 10 spots.

Sophomore Chayse Capps extended her No. 1 beam ranking to a fourth straight week with an RQS of 9.930 on Monday. She also owns a share of the 15th-place spot on vault (9.915).

In addition to Capps, four other Sooners grabbed top 25 spots on beam, allowing Oklahoma to boast more gymnasts amongst the beam rankings than any other program. Three Sooners own a tie for ninth on the apparatus – Kara Lovan, Rebecca Clark and Haley Sorensen – with a 9.900 RQS, while Erica Brewer rounds things out at No. 19 (9.885).

This week's ranking for Clark and Sorensen marks a three spot jump from their share of the 12th-place ranking last week.

McKenzie Wofford continued her dominance on bars, holding strong at second in the country on the event (9.940). She is followed by Brenna Dowell at No. 8 (9.910), Haley Scaman in a tie for 11th (9.900), and Keeley Kmieciak with a share of 15th (9.895).

Along with their bar rankings, Scaman and Dowell also earned second appearances in the top 25 this week, with Scaman rising to No. 3 in the country on vault (9.945) and Dowell sharing the No. 6 spot on floor (9.935).

Joining Dowell in the floor rankings are freshman Ali Jackson and Lovan.  Jackson is tied for ninth in the country (9.925) while Lovan comes in at No. 20 this week (9.905).

The Sooners will begin their postseason journey this Saturday afternoon in Norman as the take on Iowa State and West Virginia in the 2015 Big 12 Championship. The meet will begin at 5 p.m. as Oklahoma pursues an unprecedented fourth consecutive Big 12 title. Tickets for the contest are on sale now through SoonerSports.com.
