NOTES AND NUMBERS FOR WEEK FIVE

BIG 12 BATTLE
Oklahoma's February road stand continues this weekend with a contest on the road against conference foe Iowa State in Ames. The Friday night meet is set for a 6:30 p.m. start and will pit the Sooners against the Cyclones in a rematch from last weekend's Metroplex Classic in Fort Worth, where OU came away with a 197.700 victory to defeat ISU, LSU and Arkansas. The meet will continue a lengthy stretch of road matchups for OU as the team will not return to the Lloyd Noble Center until March 6.

TOP NOTCH
Two meets in three days couldn't slow Oklahoma down last weekend as the Sooners blazed to team scores of 197.650 at Denver and 197.700 at the Metroplex Challenge. With the efforts, OU now owns an impressive four of the nation's top five team scores so far this season and is averaging a 197.465 through five meets. The Sooners are also ranked No. 1 in the nation on uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise and No. 2 on vault as a team.

RECORDS FALLING
OU set yet another team record on Monday when the squad picked up its fourth consecutive week ranked No. 1 in the nation. The ranking gives the women's gymnastics program its longest streak yet of No. 1 rankings, topping the previous mark of three weeks set in January 2014. Oklahoma opened 2015 as the preseason No. 2 team before catapulting to the No. 1 spot after one weekend of competition. The Sooners have not surrendered that spot since opening weekend.

FAB FIVE
The Sooners lead the nation in individual routines ranked in the top 25 with 15, including a stellar group of five ranked in the top five nationally on their event. Haley Scaman leads the way with two appearances in the top five: the junior is ranked second in the nation on vault and tied for fifth on floor exercise. Chayse Capps is ranked second in the country on balance beam, while the dynamic bars duo of McKenzie Wofford and Brenna Dowell own respective rankings of No. 4 and No. 5 on the event.

QUICK HITS
• OU swept the Big 12 weekly honor listing for the third time this season on Tuesday. Kara Lovan earned her second consecutive Gymnast of the Week award, Haley Sorensen earned her first career Event Specialist of the Week honor and Brenna Dowell was named Newcomer of the Week for the third week in a row.
• Eight OU gymnasts are ranked as individuals this week: Erica Brewer (UB - 19, BB - 25), Chayse Capps (V - T-17, BB - 2), Brenna Dowell (UB - 5, FX - T-20), Ali Jackson (V - 22), Keeley Kmieciak (V - 16, UB - T-17), Kara Lovan (BB - 12, FX - 12), Haley Scaman (V - 2, UB - T-15, FX - T-5), McKenzie Wofford (UB - 4)
