NORMAN — Behind four double-digit scoring performances, the Oklahoma women's basketball team downed Iowa State, 75-66, Wednesday morning inside Lloyd Noble Center.

With the win, the Sooners moved to 14-7 overall and 8-2 in Big 12 play, breaking a two-game skid, while Iowa State fell to 14-7 overall and 5-5 in conference games.

During the game, the Sooners hosted nearly 5,000 third through sixth graders from across the state for the inaugural Sooner Jr. FANS Field Trip Day. The children experienced an educational day complete with hands on exposure to Division I women's basketball and one of the top-ranked universities in the country.

A total of eight Sooners scored in the contest, paced by redshirt sophomore Peyton Little, who tallied a career-high-matching 18 points on 6-for-12 from the field, including four 3-point makes.

Kaylon Williams finished with 14 points and five rebounds. The redshirt junior went 5-for-7 shooting and tied her career high with four assists.

Also reaching double-digits were freshman Gabbi Ortiz and sophomore Gioya Carter with 11 points and 10 points, respectively. Both also recorded a pair of assists, while Carter secured eight boards and Ortiz five.

Redshirt sophomore Maddie Manning contributed nine points, six rebounds, three assists, a block and a steal, and freshman LaNeisa Williams added seven points and three boards.

OU held a 38-25 advantage at halftime and led by as many as 20 points early in the second half. The Sooners shot 28-for-63 from the field (44.4 percent), 9-for-27 from behind the arc (33.3 percent) and 10-for-13 from the free-throw line (76.9 percent).

The Sooners held control for the majority of the ballgame, with the Cyclones leading for just a total of 3:11. Iowa State was able to cut the lead to nine points late in the second half with a 3-point bucket. At the other end of the floor, Little answered with a 3-pointer of her own at the shot clock buzzer with just under three minutes remaining to get the lead back into double digits.

For Iowa State, senior Nikki Moody scored 30 points on 11-for-18 shooting, while freshman Bryanna Fernstrom and senior Brynn Williamson both contributed eight points.

The Sooners are back in action at 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 7, as they host Kansas State inside Lloyd Noble Center. Tickets can be purchased on SoonerSports.com. The game will be televised by Sooner Sports TV.
