SOONER JR FANS FIELD TRIP DAY
Wondering why the Oklahoma game against Iowa State on Wednesday, Feb. 4 is set for 10:30 a.m.? It is Sooner Jr. FANS Field Trip Day! The Sooners are expecting nearly 5,000 third through sixth graders from across the state to attend the game. The children will experience an educational day complete with hands on exposure to Division 1 women's basketball and one of the top ranked universities in the country! Season-ticket holders and all other fans are still encouraged to attend the early tip against the Cyclones. Admission to the game is FREE.
A LOOK AT THE BIG 12 SEASON
• Oklahoma has opened the Big 12 with a 7-2 record. The Sooners won their first seven league games before being dealt a loss. OU's first loss in leauge play came on Jan. 29 when it fell in double-overtime to 13th-ranked Texas 84-81. The Sooners have since lost another contest, a 79-68 setback at West Virginia, Feb. 1.
• Oklahoma began Big 12 action winning at least seven of its first nine contests six other times under head coach Sherri Coale. In 1999-00, 2000-01 and 2008-09, the Sooners opened league 9-0; in 2001-02 and 2005-06 they had an 8-1 record over the first nine contests and in 2007-08 the started 7-2.
• In winning their first seven Big 12 games, the Sooners had to defeat two then-ranked opponents. OU upset then-fourth ranked Texas 70-59 at the Lloyd Noble Center, Jan. 14 and defeated then-20th ranked Oklahoma State, 73-54, Jan. 19.
• All but one of Oklahoma's Big 12 victories have been by double-figure points. The only single-digit Big 12 win this season was a 70-64 victory over Texas Tech, Jan. 24.
• The Sooners are a perfect 4-0 in league when playing at the Lloyd Noble Center and are 3-2 when playing on the road.

Redshirt junior Kaylon Williams has struggled to stay on the floor in the first half in Big 12 action this season. Williams has been hit with two early fouls in five of the nine league games thus far, including four-straight. She only played three minutes in the first half of OU's loss at West Virginia (Feb. 1) after two fouls, played five minutes in the first half of OU's double-overtime loss at Texas (Jan. 29), was hit with two fouls in the first two minutes in the Sooners' win over Texas Tech (Jan. 24) and played seven minutes against Oklahoma State (Jan. 19) before being hit with two fouls. When Williams has been able to stay out of foul trouble, she has exploded. She played a career-high 34 minutes in the Sooners 69-57 win over Kansas, Jan. 7 and recorded her second double-double of the season with 14 points and a season-high 11 boards. In 31 minutes against TCU, she tallied a career-high 25 points and grabbed a season-high 12 rebounds.

The Oklahoma women's basketball team has won 11 straight games at the Lloyd Noble Center, dating back to Feb. 19, 2014. The Sooners are a perfect 8-0 when playing at the LNC this year. They won all four non-conference games at the Lloyd Noble Center and are currently 4-0 when playing at home aginst Big 12 competition. OU has won this season's home games by an average of 18.8 points per contest. Its biggest victory was a 49-point win over Bradley, Nov. 21. Its largest Big 12 win was a 19-point victory over Oklahoma State, Jan. 19. The Sooners closest win was a six-point victory over Texas Tech Jan. 24.

In the most recent NCAA statistics and rankings, Oklahoma is ranked 12th in the nation in average home attendance. The Sooners are currently averaging 5,438 fans per home game thus far, including a season-best 7,111 fans against Oklahoma State, Jan. 19. Two other Big 12 schools are in the Top 20; Iowa State (6th; 8,780) and Baylor (9th; 6,165).
SOONERS RANKED NO MORE
A week after Oklahoma finally broke into the Associated Press Top 25, the Sooners fell out. After starting Big 12 season 7-0, OU jumped into the Associated Press poll at 24th. Unfortunatley after back-to-back road losses, the Sooners fell out this week and are now one of many schools 'also receiving votes'. The earned 10 votes this week.

PREVIEWING IOWA STATE
Iowa State enters into its game with Oklahoma holding a 14-6 overall record and a 5-4 mark in Big 12 play. The Cyclones are on a two game losing skid; losing to Kansas 61-56 and dropping a 63-62 decision to Oklahoma State. Iowa State did earn the series sweep of Texas. The first time the Cyclones won, Texas was undefeated and rank third in the nation. ISU most recently defeated the then-No. 13 ranked Longhorns by one point on Jan. 25. Iowa State has three players averaging double-figure points: Nikki Moody (12.6 ppg), Seanna Johnson (12.1 ppg) and Brynn Williamson (11.9 ppg). Johnson also leads the Cyclones in rebounds at 9.3 a contest.
Iowa State was picked to place sixth in the Big 12 in 2014-15. The Cyclones are coached by Bill Fennelly, in his 20th year at the helm.
What the Cyclones returned: Iowa State returned eight letterwinners, including four starters, from its squad that finished 20-11 overall and 9-9 in the Big 12 last season. The Cyclones reached the NCAA Tournament for the seventh straight season in 2013-14. Iowa State is led by a duo of guards; Nikki Moody and Seanna Johnson. Moody averaged 12.5 points last season, while Johnson had an average of 10.2 points per game.
OKLAHOMA-IOWA STATE SERIES
Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Iowa State 34-22 and split the series a season ago. When the Sooners defeated the Cyclones in Ames Jan. 21, 2014 it snapped a five-game losing streak to ISU. The last time Oklahoma earned a victory over Iowa State in Norman was Jan. 3, 2012 when it won 80-51.
