NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team continues to extend its record-setting streak of weeks at No. 1.

The Sooners are ranked first overall for the sixth consecutive week, the longest span of weeks at No. 1 in program history. OU owns a season average of 197.536 to lead the nation, slotting in ahead of No. 2 Florida (197.325), No. 3 LSU (197.321), No. 4 Utah (197.167) and No. 5 Alabama (196.938).

Oklahoma's regional qualifying score (RQS) also leads the NCAA by a wide margin. OU's RQS of 197.620 leads the nation's other top-five teams with at least six meets by nearly five-tenths of a point.

RQS is based on a team's six best regular season scores, three of which must be away. The overall high score is eliminated, and the five remaining scores are averaged. RQS scores are used to determine seeding for regional competition at six campus sites in April.

The Sooners narrowly missed out on sweeping No. 1 rankings on each event, earning the No. 1 ranking on vault (49.468), uneven bars (49.414) and floor exercise (49.404) and the No. 2 spot on balance beam (49.275).

Sophomore Chayse Capps continued to shine for OU in this week's rankings, earning sole possession of the No. 1 ranking on beam with a season average of 9.910. Capps also earned a top-10 appearance on vault at No. 10 overall (9.912).

Haley Scaman picked up appearances on all three events she competes, including the No. 3 national ranking on vault (9.936). The junior is also eighth on floor (9.911) and 19th on bars (9.861).

McKenzie Wofford captured a top-five NCAA ranking as well, appearing at No. 4 in the country on bars with an average of 9.925. Fellow sophomore Kara Lovan slotted in at sixth nationally on balance beam with a 9.864 average and also appeared at 13th on floor (9.893).

Joining Capps and Scaman in the national rankings on vault this week were Ali Jackson and Keeley Kmieciak. Freshman Jackson earned a tie for 23rd with a 9.879, while Kmieciak picked up an appearance at 21st (9.883). Kmieciak is also tied for 15th on bars with an average of 9.871.

Rounding out OU's appearances this week were Brenna Dowell and Erica Brewer. Dowell earned a top-15 appearance on floor, ranking 15th with an average of 9.888. Brewer is 18th in the country on balance beam, holding an average of 9.846 on the season.

Oklahoma will head to Ann Arbor, Mich., this weekend to face No. 6 Michigan on Friday, Feb. 20. The Sooners and the Wolverines are set to square off at 6:30 p.m. CT at Crisler Arena. The meet will stream live on BTN2Go and air on tape delay the following night on BTN.

The Sooners will return to Norman on March 6 to face defending NCAA co-champion and second-ranked Florida at the Lloyd Noble Center. The meet is slated for a 6:45 p.m. start.
