Ortiz had another impressive week for the Sooners, averaging 12.5 points, 3.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds and 1.5 steals in OU's 1-1 week. For the second consecutive week, the freshman sank 50.0 percent from the field (9-of-18). She also hit 40.0 percent on 3-pointers (4-of-10) and was once again perfect from the line, hitting all three attempts. Ortiz scored a career-high 16 points, had five assists, one rebound and one steal in the Sooners setback at No. 3 Baylor. Ortiz hit 60.0 percent from the field (6-of-10) and from 3-point land (3-of-5) and sank both free throw attempts to capture her new career high in points. In the Sooners victory over Iowa Statee, Ortiz finished with nine points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals in 27 minutes of action. |

WHAT'S ON TAP
Oklahoma women's basketball travels to Ames, Iowa for a contest against Iowa State Tuesday. The game is set to tip at 8:15 p.m. The Sooners enter into the game with a strong hold on second place in the Big 12 standings at 10-3. The Cyclones are one of three teams tied for third in the league standings at 6-7. Iowa State is ranked sixth in the nation in home attendance averaging 8,966 fans per contest and are 13-4 when playing inside Hilton Coliseum.
A LOOK AT THE BIG 12 SEASON
• Oklahoma has opened the Big 12 with a 10-3 record. The Sooners won their first seven league games before being dealt a loss. OU's first loss in leauge play came on Jan. 29 when it fell in double-overtime to 13th-ranked Texas 84-81. The Sooners lost a second-straight - a 79-68 setback at West Virginia, Feb. 1 - but bounced back Feb. 4 with a 9-point win over Iowa State.
• In winning their first seven Big 12 games, the Sooners had to defeat two then-ranked opponents. OU upset then-fourth ranked Texas 70-59 at the Lloyd Noble Center, Jan. 14 and defeated then-20th ranked Oklahoma State, 73-54, Jan. 19.
• All but three of Oklahoma's Big 12 victories have been by double-figure points. The three single-digit Big 12 wins this season were a 70-64 victory over Texas Tech, Jan. 24, a 75-66 win over Iowa State, Feb. 4 and a 66-58 win over K-State, Feb. 7.
• The Sooners are a perfect 7-0 in league when playing at the Lloyd Noble Center and are 3-3 when playing on the road.
• Oklahoma was dealt its largest deficit of the season Feb. 11. The Sooners fell 89-66 to No. 3 Baylor. Their largest deficit prior to their 23-point loss was 20 to then No. 13 Duke, Dec. 17.
KAYLON WILLIAMS
Oklahoma women's basketball junior Kaylon Williams recorded her fourth double-double of the season against TCU, Feb. 14. It was the third double-double in Big 12 play. She scored 14 points - hitting 6-of-7 from the field and both free throw attempts - and grabbed 11 rebounds, four offensive. The other double-doubles came against Washington (23 pts, 11 rbs), at Kansas (14 pts, 11 rbs) and at TCU (25 pts, 12 rbs). Williams now has six career double-doubles.
PEYTON LITTLE
Redshirt sophomore Peyton Little has been Oklahoma's leading scoring in six consecutive games. Prior to this stretch, Little had lead OU in scoring once this season. The streak started with 16 points in OU's double-overtime setback at Texas, Jan. 29. In the third game of the streak, she tied her career high of 18 points in a win over Iowa State, Feb. 4. She scored a new career-high of 19 points in Oklahoma's next win, an eight-point victory over Kansas State, Feb. 7. She again re-broke her career high in the following contest, pouring in 22 points at No. 3, Baylor, Feb. 11. The most recent team-high was 21 points in a bounce back victory over TCU, Feb. 14. Over the previous six contests, Little is averaging 18. 5 points and has sank an impressive 17 3-pointers and missed only one free throw out of 21 attempts.

Redshirt junior Kaylon Williams has brought down 200 offensive boards in her collegiate career. She needs 21 more offensive boards to break into the Oklahoma career top-10 in o-boards. Former Sooner Nicole Griffin stands in 10th with 221 offensive boards and Angi Guffy is in ninth at 227. For her career, Williams has 444 total rebounds.

Oklahoma eclipsed its Big 12 win total from a season ago with its 77-54 victory over TCU, Feb. 14. The Sooners are now 10-3 in conference. They ended the 2013-14 season at 9-9. OU is looking to tie its best Big 12 wins total since 2008-09 with its next victory. Oklahoma finished with 11 league wins in 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2012-13. In 2008-09, the Sooners ended the conference slate with 15 wins.

PREVIEWING IOWA STATE
Iowa State enters into its game with Oklahoma holding a 15-9 overall record and a 6-7 mark in Big 12 play. The Cyclones have lost five of their last six games, including their 75-66 setback to the Sooners (Feb. 4). They are coming off a tough 60-48 setback at Oklahoma State. Iowa State has four players averaging double-figure points: Nikki Moody (13.6 ppg), Seanna Johnson (11.3 ppg), Brynn Williamson (11.1 ppg) and Bryanna Fernstorm (10.0 ppg). Johnson also leads the Cyclones in rebounds at 9.4 a contest.
Iowa State was picked to place sixth in the Big 12 in 2014-15. The Cyclones are coached by Bill Fennelly, in his 20th year at the helm.
What the Cyclones returned: Iowa State returned eight letterwinners, including four starters, from its squad that finished 20-11 overall and 9-9 in the Big 12 last season. The Cyclones reached the NCAA Tournament for the seventh straight season in 2013-14. Iowa State is led by a duo of guards; Nikki Moody and Seanna Johnson.
OKLAHOMA-IOWA STATE SERIES
Oklahoma leads the all-time series with Iowa State 35-22. The Sooners won the first meeting between the two schools this year 775-66 and they split the series a season ago. When the Sooners defeated the Cyclones in Ames Jan. 21, 2014 it snapped a five-game losing streak to ISU.
