• No. 17/17 Oklahoma held Kansas State to 13 field goals and 26.5-percent field goal shooting but dropped a 59-56 road contest, snapping its five-game winning streak.

• For the second time in two OU-Kansas State games this season, Marcus Foster hit a long 3-pointer in the waning seconds for a three-point victory.

• Oklahoma led virtually the entire first half and pushed its advantage to six (35-29) with 18 minutes to go before K-State rallied for a 13-2 run to take a 42-37 lead with 12 minutes remaining.

• The Sooners trailed 53-46 with 5:20 left but used a 10-3 run to tie the game at 56 with 1:29 to go. The Sooners had a chance to take the lead but missed a driving layup with a minute left. K-State missed a shot with 22 seconds remaining but got the offensive rebound, allowing Foster to hit the game-winner.

• Kansas State went 28 for 36 from the free throw line while OU went 13 for 17. The Wildcats' 36 free throw attempts were 10 more than the Sooners' previous opponent season high (26 by West Virginia on Jan. 13).

Buddy Hield led OU in scoring for the eighth time in the last 12 games with 14 points. He also registered team highs of 4 assists and 3 steals.

Jordan Woodard made 5 of his 6 free throw attempts and keyed OU's late-game comeback. He finished with 13 points and a pair of steals.

TaShawn Thomas (10 points) was the only other Sooner in double figures in scoring. He added 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals.

Ryan Spangler saw his nine-game streak of double-digit scoring snapped. Spangler fouled out after playing 23 minutes and finished with 6 points and a team-high 7 rebounds.

• OU was outrebounded 36-27, its largest board deficit of the season. K-State posted a 15-7 advantage in second-chance points.

• OU returns home to host Texas on Tuesday at 8 p.m. CT (televised by ESPN2). The Sooners hold a 51-35 series lead and have won three straight and four of the last five.
