The Sooners have now lost to Baylor nine-straight times. The last time OU defeated Baylor was in the quarterfinals of the 2010 Big 12 Tournament, held in Kansas City, Mo.
Oklahoma was held to 20 first half points. It's the lowest output in a half by the Sooners this season and lowest since scoring only 19 points in the first half of their 76-66 setback at TCU, March 1, 2014.
After scoring just 20 points in the opening half, Oklahoma scored 46 in the second. The 46 points tied the fourth-most points scored by the Sooners in the second half this season and tied for their second highest Big 12 second half of the year.
Oklahoma shot just 21.2 percent from the field (7-for-33) in the first 20 minutes but hit a blazing 51.5 percent from the floor (17-for-33) in the second half.
The Sooners were outrebounded 42-33 but held the 16-14 advantage on the offensive glass.
Oklahoma was credited with 16 assists on 24 baskets. Baylor had 32 assists on 35 baskets.
The 11 3-pointers Oklahoma sank in the game were the most in a Big 12 game for OU this season. The Sooners have now hit double-figure 3-pointers in four games this season.
Redshirt sophomore Peyton Little drained a career-high five 3-pointers in the contest and finished with a new career-high in points with 22. Fourteen of her 22 came in the second stanza.
Freshman point guard Gabbi Ortiz also registered a new career high in points. Ortiz hit an impressive 6-of-10 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the 3-point arc, for 16 points. She also passed out five assists and ad three turnovers in 36 minutes of play.
All 14 Sooners saw action in the contest.
