SUNDAY'S GAME BASICS

No. 21/22 Oklahoma (6-1) makes the trek to Seattle to face Washington on Sunday at Alaska Airlines Arena with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m. CT. The Sooners have won five straight games after defeating Little Rock, 65-52, on Wednesday night at Lloyd Noble Center. Washington (6-1) is coming off a 83-65 victory over Portland on Wednesday. The Huskies are led by the nation's leading scorer Kelsey Plum, who is averaging 28.1 points per game. .

Sunday's contest will air on the Sooner Radio Network with Brian Brinkley calling the action. The game will be televised by the Pac 12 Network with Mary Murphy and Lisa Byington announcing.


FIVE THINGS TO KNOW

• Oklahoma leads the Big 12 in turnover margin, forcing 21.0 turnovers per game this season. The Sooners average just 17.7 turnovers per game and have a +4.4 turnover margin per contest through seven games. OU also ranks 21st in the nation in scoring defense, holding opponents to 52.9 points per game.

• Redshirt senior forward Kaylon Williams recorded her second double-double of the season with a 21-point, 15-rebound performance against Little Rock on Wednesday. Williams' 21 points and 15 rebounds are her second-highest combined total of points and rebound in a single game in her career. She has scored in doubles figures 14 times in the last 15 games (dating back to last season). Williams also leads OU and is seventh in the Big 12 with 8.1 rebounds per game.

• Sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis enter Sunday's game leading the Big 12 with a .710 field goal percentage. Pierre-Louis is 22 of 31 from the floor this season and is third on the squad with 8.1 points per game. The sophomore is also averaging 5.6 rebounds in 15.6 minutes of action.

• Redshirt junior Peyton Little leads the Sooners with 15.1 points per game and is ninth in the conference in scoring. Little continues to be one of the Big 12's top 3-point shooters, ranking second in the league with 2.6 3-pointers per game. She is also fifth in the conference with 2.0 steals per game. Oklahoma has made 50 3-pointers this season and is shooting 34.2 percent from behind the arc.

• Oklahoma is off to its best start since the 2012-13 season, when the Sooners began the year with an 8-1 record.


GAME SEVEN RECAP: LITTLE ROCK

• Behind a dominant performance from redshirt senior forward Kaylon Williams, the No. 21/22 Oklahoma women's basketball team downed Little Rock, 65-52, on Wednesday night inside Lloyd Noble Center for its 750th win in program history. Williams recorded season highs in both points and rebounds with 21 and 15, respectively, good for the 10th double-double of her career. The Midwest City, Okla., native went 9 of 16 from the field in the contest.

• Nine of Williams' points came in the first quarter and she nearly had a double-double at halftime with 11 points and nine rebounds. Williams has now scored in double figures 14 times in the Sooners' last 15 games dating back to last season. Also finishing in double digits for the Sooners were redshirt junior Peyton Little and sophomore Gabbi Ortiz, who recorded 11 points and 10 points, respectively. Little grabbed three boards and added three steals, while Ortiz had six rebounds and four assists.

• The Sooners shot 47 percent from the field (25 of 53), 33 percent from long distance (4 of 12) and 65 percent (11 of 17) from the free throw line. OU's defense held the Trojans to 23 percent shooting (22 of 68) and outrebounded Little Rock by a 44 to 34 clip.


PREVIEWING WASHINGTON

• Pac 12 member Washington enters Sunday's game with a 6-1 record and is led by third-year head coach Mike Neighbors. The Huskies are one of the nation's top offensive squads, ranking 16th in the NCAA in scoring offense (83.9 ppg)

• Junior guard Kelsey Plum leads the nation with 28.1 points per game and averages 36.0 minutes per game for Washington. Plum also leads the nation with 65 free throws and is third in the country with 141 free throw attempts this season.

• Redshirt senior forward Talia Walton gives the Huskies another scoring option, averaging 19.3 points per game (fourth in the Pac 12). Forward Chantel Osahor nearly averages a double-double for the Huskies (9.7 ppg, 10.3 rpg).


LAST YEAR VS. WASHINGTON

• Oklahoma topped Washington 90-80 in its 2014-15 season opener inside Lloyd Noble Center, marking the 400th career victory for head coach Sherri Coale. A pair of double-doubles from Sharane Campbell-Olds and Kaylon Williams paced the Sooners.

• Campbell-Olds finished with team highs in points (26) on 9-for-12 from the floor, rebounds (11) and steals (3). Seventeen of Williams' 23 points came in the second half.

• The Huskies' Kelsey Plum scored a game-high 45 points, setting the record for points scored by a player at the Lloyd Noble Center.


NO MORE CHARITY

• One of the main points of emphasis for the Sooners this season has been eliminating fouls and keeping opponents away from the free throw line. Through seven games, OU's opponents are 61 of 102 (.598) from the free throw line in 2015-16. At this point last season, OU's foes were 133 of 190 (.684) from the charity stripe.

• The Sooners have kept teams away from the free throw line early in the season by committing just 121 fouls (17.3 per game) through seven games this year. At this point a year ago, the Sooners had recorded 171 fouls (24.4 per game).

• OU is taking advantage of their opportunities at the free throw line with a .667 percentage (84 of 126). Peyton Little leads the Sooners with a .762 clip (16 of 21).


QUICK HITTERS

Kaylon Williams' 15 rebounds against Little Rock marked the most rebounds by an OU player since Joanna McFarland logged 16 boards against UCLA in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Tournament.

• Junior guard T'ona Edwards tied a career-high with eight assists against Boston College on Nov. 28 in the Junkanoo Jam. Edwards and Maddie Manning leads the Sooners with 3.6 assists per game.

• Sophomore center Vionise Pierre-Louis finished with 15 points and nine rebounds against Boston College on Nov. 28, tying her career high in both categories. She also leads in the Big 12 with a .710 shooting percentage. The Lake Worth, Fla., native tied her career-high with four blocks at Bradley on Nov 22. OU set a season-high with seven blocks, its most in a single game since last year's 104-55 win over Bradley in Norman.

• Head coach Sherri Coale won her 425th game at Oklahoma with the Sooners' 76-61 victory over Boston College.

• Oklahoma is 18th in the NCAA with 124 assists and has recorded 20 or more assists three times in the last four games.

• In their six wins this season, the Sooners have held opponents to 50 points or less in four games (Utah - 50; Winthrop - 48; BYU - 47; Bradley - 46).

• OU is 36-52 all-time against current members of the Pac 12. Washington leads the series with the Sooners, 2-1.

• Oklahoma earned its 750th all-time win with Wednesday's victory over Little Rock.


UP NEXT

The Sooners travel to in-state foe Tulsa for their final road non-conference matchup of the season on Wednesday, Dec. 9. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CT at Donald W. Reynolds Center. Wednesday's meeting marks the first contest between Oklahoma and Tulsa since 2009. The Sooners lead the all-time series, 24-2.
