NORMAN – The defending national champion Oklahoma men's gymnastics team is inviting fans to attend an open practice on Saturday, Nov. 21. The open session will run from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. CT at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center and is free and open to the public.
“We are excited to showcase the 2016 team and introduce our freshman class of junior national team champion Yul Moldauer, junior national team member Peter Daggett, Levi Anderson, Genki Suzuki and Eric Holley,” head coach Mark Williams said.
Fans in attendance will get an early look at the 2016 Sooners as they prepare to defend their national title and chase the program's 10th overall during the upcoming season. Fans are welcome to come and go as their schedules permit.
Free national championship posters will be available to those in attendance and fans will have the opportunity to visit with the student-athletes and coaches, get autographs and possibly win a national championship t-shirt.
Fans' next opportunity to see the Sooners in action will come on Saturday, Dec. 12 at noon as the team holds its annual Red-White intrasquad scrimmage at the Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center.
The Sam Viersen Gymnastics Center is located north of the Lloyd Noble Center at the north east corner of the intersection of S. Jenkins Ave. and Imhoff Ave. Parking is available across the street at the Lloyd Noble Center.
