NORMAN – Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast 13 University of Oklahoma women's basketball games during the 2015-16 season, ensuring nationwide coverage for the television audience of all the Sooners' home games.
Oklahoma's schedule on Sooner Sports TV begins right out of the gate with its first four home games, which starts with the Sooners' exhibition contest versus Southwestern Oklahoma State, Wednesday, Nov. 4. The other three games in the opening homestand are Friday, Nov. 13 against Winthrop, Monday, Nov. 16 versus North Texas and Thursday, Nov. 19 against BYU.
Sooner Sports TV will also produce OU's games against UALR (Wed., Dec. 2), UTSA (Sunday, Dec. 13), Kansas (Wed., Dec. 30), Kansas State (Sun., Jan. 10), Texas Tech (Wed., Jan. 20), West Virginia (Wed., Jan. 27), Oklahoma State (Wed., Feb. 3), TCU (Sat., Feb. 6) and Iowa State (Sat., Feb. 27).
Calling the action once again this season for Sooner Sports TV are play-by-play commentators Bob Carpenter, the two-time Emmy Award winner, Chad McKee and Toby Rowland, the Voice of the Sooners. Dan Hughes, head coach and general manager of the WNBA's San Antonio Stars, and Brenda VanLengen will serve as analysts while Jessica Coody returns as the sideline reporter.
Sooner Sports TV programming is delivered on a variety of FOX Sports outlets including FS Oklahoma, FS Southwest and FOX College Sports.
Sooner Sports TV programming showcases a variety of original programming and studio shows, including coaches' shows, weekly magazine shows and press conferences. In addition, live webcasts and on-demand video content including highlights, features, interviews, classic videos and more are distributed on SoonerSports.tv.
With a monthly, annual or three-year subscription to SoonerSports.tv, starting as low as $9.99 monthly, fans have access to full game replays for all OU sports, as well as live coverage of games not available on TV, weekly coaches shows, an exclusive second screen experience for OU football games and live game audio for football, men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball.
The Big 12 Conference, in conjunction with FOX Sports, previously announced that the Sooners' home contest against Texas will air on Fox Sports 1, guaranteeing that each and every one of Oklahoma's home contests are set for a national television audience.
The Sooners begin the season on Nov. 4 with an exhibition game against Southwestern Oklahoma State at the Lloyd Noble Center. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Season tickets and six-game mini packs are available by calling the OU Athletics Ticket Office at (800) 456-4668.
