· Peyton Little, Gabbi Ortiz, Sharane Campbell-Olds, Gioya Carter and Kaylon Williams were Oklahoma's starting five.
· Attendance for Sunday afternoon's Big 12 opener was a season high 5,400. It is the third time that 5,000 or more fans have attended a game.
· The Sooners were forced to go to the bench early due to foul trouble. Eleven players saw first half action.
· Gioya Carter led the Sooners in scoring in the first half with 16 points, going 2-2 from behind the arch and 6-10 from the field. She finished with a team-leading and a career-high 24.
· Oklahoma's defense held West Virginia's leading scorer – Bria Holmes - to just five first half points.
· The Sooners leading scorers Kaylon Williams and Sharane Campbell-Olds appeared in only nine combined minutes in the first half. Both were hit with two fouls early in the first half.
· T'ona Edwards was a spark off of the Oklahoma bench scoring a season-high eight points in 17 minutes.
· After being held scoreless in the first half in only four minutes, Kaylon Williams finished the game with 13 points and seven rebounds.
· The Sooners went on an 11-3 run for a three-minute stretch following the eight-minute media timeout of the second half to break open a double-figure lead.
· Sharane Campbell-Olds played all 20 minutes of the second half after only appearing in five in the first half.
· Oklahoma had three scorers in double digits including Kaylon Williams (13), Sharane Campbell-Olds (10) and Gioya Carter (24).
· West Virginia's Averee Fields, Linda Stepney and Bria Holmes all appeared in 39 or more minutes. Fields and Stepney played the entire game.
· The win was the Sooners first since the 2012-13 season and only the second win against the Mountaineers in Norman. West Virginia now leads the series 4-3.
· Oklahoma now holds a 5-0 record when playing at home.
