SOONERS LOOK TO BOUNCE BACK
Coming off its first Big 12 Conference loss, the 24th-ranked Oklahoma women's basketball squad looks to bounce back Sunday with a contest at West Virginia. The Sooners enter into the game in second in the Big 12 standings at 7-1 while the Mountaineers are tied for eighth at 2-6.
DOUBLE-OVERTIME
The double-overtime contest against Texas Thursday, Jan. 29 was Oklahoma's fifth double-overtime game in school history. The Sooners are now 2-3 when playing in double OT contests. The other 2OT games: a 93-81 loss at Wichita State, Jan. 8, 1983; a 86-79 loss to Oklahoma State, Jan. 14, 1996; a 65-63 victory at San Diego on Dec. 21, 2000; and a 86-81 victory over Texas Tech on Jan. 22, 2007. Sooner head coach Sherri Coale is now 2-1 when playing in double-overtime. It also was the first double-overtime for any Big 12 schools since Kansas won at Kansas State 89-80 on Feb. 2, 2013.
FOUR
The Sooners had four players foul out of their double-overtime loss at Texas, Thursday, Jan. 29: Sharane Campbell-Olds (2nd half: 51 seconds), Kaylon Williams (1st OT, 4:05), Maddie Manning (1st OT, 1:59), Gioya Carter (2nd OT, 2:37). Oklahoma had four-plus players foul out one other time this season. In a 92-88 setback to Kentucky Nov. 28, OU had six players foul out. LaNesia Williams, K.
