Oklahoma vs. Baylor

• In the nation's only top-25 matchup of the day, No. 18 Oklahoma got 63 combined points from TaShawn Thomas (24), Buddy Hield (20) and Isaiah Cousins (19) in a 73-63 home win over No. 22 Baylor. The Bears had not surrendered more than 66 points in a game this season.

• OU held Baylor to .373 field goal shooting (.290 in the second half). The Sooners have held 10 of their 13 opponents to 40-percent-or-lower field goal shooting (no opponent has shot 50 percent or better).

• Oklahoma posted a 40-35 rebounding advantage against a Baylor team that entered weekend play ranked fourth nationally in rebounding advantage (+11.8 per game).

• Thomas' 24 points were one shy of a season high and his 8 rebounds tied a season best. The senior forward was 11 for 17 from the field in 31 minutes in his first career Big 12 game.

• Hield pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds to give him his second career double-double (first this season). He was 4 for 10 from 3-point range and made all six of his free throw attempts while handing out a team-high-tying 4 assists.

• Cousins finished 4 for 8 from 3-point range to up his season mark from deep to .439. He is shooting .533 from behind the arc in OU's seven home games (16 for 30). Cousins, who entered the game as the Big 12's second-leading rebounder among guards (6.2 rpg), pulled down 8 boards today.

• Down 23-16, OU used a 21-10 run over the last 8:10 of the first half to take a 37-33 lead. The Sooners extended their lead to nine (46-37) with 15:44 to go in the game and Baylor never got closer than five afterward.

• OU committed just nine turnovers, marking the fourth time in the last five games they committed less than 10.

• The Sooners improved to 42-11 all-time against Baylor and to 21-4 in Norman. OU is 37-5 in the last 42 meetings and is 33-6 against the Bears since the inception of the Big 12 Conference.

• Baylor entered the game ranked eighth nationally by holding opponents to .268 3-point shooting. OU went 8 for 22 on the day for a .364 mark.

• The Sooners play again Monday when they travel to face No. 11 Texas at 8 p.m. CT (televised by ESPN).
