NORMAN - The No. 1 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team opened 2015 with a sweep of the Big 12 weekly honor listing, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Haley Scaman was named Big 12 Gymnast of the Week, McKenzie Wofford earned Event Specialist of the Week accolades and Ali Jackson captured Newcomer of the Week honors from the conference.

The awards come on the heels of OU's dominant 197.625-194.900 win over No. 13 Arkansas last weekend. Jackson, Scaman and Wofford paved the way with strong performances across the board to anchor the Sooners to a win.

The 2014 Big 12 Gymnast of the Year, Scaman opened with another weekly honor after earning two event titles against the Razorbacks last weekend. The junior picked up top honors and vault and floor exercise, anchoring both events with 9.95 performances. Scaman added a 9.85 on bars to finish in a tie for third.

The Riverside, Ill., native is ranked first nationally on floor exercise and tied for second on vault in this week's rankings after her performance last weekend.

Wofford earned the second weekly honor of her career on Wednesday after posting a 9.925 on uneven bars to take home the event title against Arkansas. The score was the second-highest bars score of the McKinney, Texas native's career, just shy of her career-best 9.975 from last season. Wofford is ranked No. 4 in the country this week on the event following her team-best performance on the event.

Jackson made a splash in her collegiate debut last weekend with top-flight performances on both vault and floor exercise. She picked up efforts of 9.925 on each event, finishing second only to teammate Haley Scaman's 9.95 performances on both. The Belton, Mo., native is ranked in the top-six nationally on both events this week, appearing in a tie for second in the country on floor and a tie for sixth on vault.

Jackson also picked up a 9.875 on uneven bars in exhibition, which would have tied for second at the meet.

The Sooners are back in action this Saturday, Jan. 17 in Minneapolis. OU is set to face the No. 11 Minnesota Golden Gophers at 4 p.m. CT in the Sports Pavilion on the University of Minnesota campus.
