Junior Shelby Pendley went 4-for-4 with three RBI and two runs scored. Her four hits tied the school-record for most hits in a Regional game. Three other Sooners had accomplished the feat, most recently Brianna Turang against Iona (5/20/11).
Pendley's four hits also tied her career high for hits in a game. She previously had four hits against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2/28/14).
Senior Destinee Martinez went 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored. Martinez's three runs scored matched her career high, a mark she has reached six times, most recently against UAB (4/26/14).
Martinez's three hits also moved her past Kim Ogee of Nebraska for eighth place in career hits in Big 12 history.
OU got a pair of three-run blasts from Shelby Pendley and Whitney Ellis. It was the 13th home run of the year for Pendley and the 10th for Ellis.
Jessica Vest notched her first career start in rightfield. Vest went 1-for-3 and picked up her first hit since April 2, busting an 0-for-9 slump.
With the win, sophomore Kelsey Stevens improved to 34-7 on the season. She's tied with Florida State's Lacey Waldrop for the most wins in the country.
