• No. 23/23 Oklahoma clinched the Big 12 Championship No. 2 seed with its 97-67 road win over TCU on Saturday afternoon. OU won for the fifth time in six games and finished the regular season with a 23-8 record. With Texas' loss at Texas Tech, the Sooners finished in second place in the league (outright) at 12-6.
• Oklahoma's 23 regular season wins are tied for its fourth most in the 18-year history of the Big 12. OU also had 23 wins heading into the league championship in 2000-01 and 2004-05. The only seasons that the Sooners racked up more regular season wins in the Big 12 era were 1999-00 (24), 2001-02 (24) and 2008-09 (27).
• OU finished Big 12 play with a 5-4 road record. The five wins match the number of league road wins the Sooners registered the previous three seasons combined (5-21). OU's 9-5 record away from home is the best of any Big 12 team this season.
• The Sooners tied a season high with 14 3-pointers (three shy of school record) on 30 attempts (.467). OU entered the game leading the Big 12 with its 8.9 3-pointers per conference game. Today marked the sixth time in the last eight games the Sooners made at least 10 treys. They improved to 11-0 when making 10 or more 3-pointers.
• The last three games, OU outscored Texas, West Virginia and TCU by a combined 72 points from behind the 3-point line (105-33; 35 makes to 11).
• OU's 97 points were its most in a conference game since a 104-60 home win over Baylor on Feb. 26, 2005. The 97 points were OU's most in a conference road game since a 119-88 win over Colorado on Feb. 17, 1996 (Big Eight Conference).
• Sophomore guard Buddy Hield finished with game highs of 24 points and eight rebounds while adding four assists and two steals. His 24 points tied as his second highest career total. Hield was 5-for-8 from 3-point range, the 14th time in 18 Big 12 games he made at least three treys (ninth time in last 10 games).
• Hield finished with 63 3-pointers in Big 12 play, tied with Baylor's Brady Heslip for most in the league. With 86 3-pointers this year, Hield now ranks 10th on OU's single-season records list (passed Hollis Price [2001-02] today).
• Sophomore guard Isaiah Cousins made a career-high four 3-pointers on five attempts and finished with 18 points, five rebounds, four assists, three steals and no turnovers. Cousins upped his season 3-point percentage to .393 (33 makes) after shooting .250 last season (10 makes). He has scored at least 17 points in four of the last eight games.
• Senior forward Cameron Clark finished with 18 points, five boards and three assists. He jumped three spots to No. 21 on OU's all-time career scoring list (1,240 points).

• Oklahoma will be the No. 2 seed in next week's Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship and will play in a 6 p.m. CT Thursday quarterfinals game against No. 7 seed Baylor or No. 10 seed TCU.
