Upcoming Event: Baseball versus Texas A&M on March 13, 2026

March 11, 2014 | Baseball
NORMAN, Okla. - On April 3, the University of Oklahoma baseball team will join the fight against childhood cancer by holding a "Shave for the Brave" event following practice at 6:00 pm.
The Shave for the Brave event will work in conjunction with the Vs. Cancer Foundation - founded by Chase Jones, a former player at the University of North Carolina who battled stage IV brain cancer as a college freshman. Members of the Oklahoma baseball team will be shaving their heads while raising funds for research and awareness. Each player and staff member will have a personal donation page, and they encourage the Sooner Family to be on the lookout on social media for the opportunity to donate.
Donations can be made HERE.
The event will also serve as an opportunity for the Sooners in their countdown to 19 Ways, the team's community service project brought to Norman by head coach Pete Hughes.
