Oklahoma vs. Kansas State

• Oklahoma shot .509 from the field, .435 (10-for-23) from 3-point range and .769 (20-for-26) from the free throw line in an 86-73 home win over Kansas State. OU's 86 points tied as the most given up by Kansas State in regulation of a Big 12 game this season (also by Kansas). The 13-point victory margin was OU's second largest in Big 12 play (beat Baylor by 16 at home two weeks ago).
• In a battle of Big 12 third-place teams, OU improved to 20-7 overall and 9-5 in league play, while K-State fell to 18-9 and 8-6. The Sooners entered the day one game behind second-place Texas (the Longhorns play at Kansas tonight).
• OU led by as many as 27 points (68-41) midway through the second half. In the first meeting against K-State on Jan. 14, the Sooners were held to 66 points on .333 field goal shooting.
• Kansas State committed 13 turnovers to OU's eight. The Sooners posted a 19-10 advantage in points off turnovers.
• One game after Kansas State outrebounded TCU 47-24 on Wednesday, OU posted a 32-28 edge on the glass today.
• After reaching the 80-point mark seven times all of last season, OU has scored at least 80 in 17 of 27 games this year.
• With 41 and 45 points in the first and second halves today, the Sooners have scored at least 40 points in 34 of 54 halves this season (did it 17 times all of last season).
• Sophomore guard Buddy Hield led OU in scoring for the sixth time in the last 10 games with 18 points on 6-for-11 field goal and 3-for-6 3-point shooting. He added three rebounds, four assists and a game-high three steals. Hield has scored in double figures in 25 of 27 games on the year and has scored at least 15 points in 11 of 14 conference games. He has made at least three treys in 10 of our league outings.
• After being shut out in OU's last game at Oklahoma State (0-for-8 field goal shooting), sophomore guard Isaiah Cousins was 6-for-11 from the field and finished with 17 points, four assists and two steals. After not scoring more than 10 points in any of his first 35 career games, he has netted at least 10 in 14 of the last 24 outings.
• Senior forward Cameron Clark had just two points in the first meeting between these two teams on 1-for-9 shooting. Today, Clark was 5-for-9 from the floor and tallied 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds.
• Jordan Woodard broke a two-game mini slump (averaged 3.0 points and 2.5 assists) with 10 points, five assists and only one turnover in 23 minutes. He was 2-for-3 from 3-point range and made all four of his free throw attempts.
• OU's bench scored 23 points, the fifth straight game it has finished with at least 22.
• The Sooners will look to break a 12-game losing streak at Kansas on Monday at 8 p.m. CT. OU's last win at Allen Fieldhouse came in 1993. Monday's game will be televised by ESPN.
