• No. 18/21 Oklahoma held George Mason to .295 field goal shooting and 0-for-14 3-point shooting in a 61-43 home win to close out pre-conference play. The Sooners improved to 9-3 while the Patriots fell to 5-7.

• The game marked the third this season and second straight that OU held its opponent to sub-30-percent shooting. George Mason entered the day on a three-game winning streak and had averaged 84.3 points in those contests. No Patriots player scored in double figures today.

• The win was OU's 108th in its last 112 home games against non-conference opponents.

• The Sooners posted a 14-8 advantage in points off turnovers today. Over the last three home games, they own a 79-18 advantage in that category.

• OU had been outrebounded in each of its last three games but posted a 47-38 advantage on the glass today. Freshman reserve forward Khadeem Lattin pulled down a career-high-tying nine rebounds in 17 minutes while sophomore point guard Jordan Woodard pulled down a career-high eight to pace the Sooners.

• Junior guard Buddy Hield scored a game-high 17 points (15 in the first half). He was 7 for 13 from the field and 3 for 7 from 3-point range.

• Junior guard Isaiah Cousins also scored in double figures with 11 points. He added six rebounds.

• Senior forward TaShawn Thomas contributed nine points and seven rebounds in only 16 minutes (foul trouble). He was 4 for 5 from the field and is now shooting .596 on the year.

• The Sooners are back in action Saturday at 3 p.m. when they host No. 22/22 Baylor to start Big 12 play. The game will be televised by ESPNU.
