WELCOME HOME SOONERS

The last time OU lost three-straight games was during the 2011-12 campaign (L 78-76 at Vanderbilt, L 69-63 against Ohio State, L 69-66 at Fresno State).
NINTH
Gabbi Ortiz is the ninth true freshman to start the season opener under Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale. She's just the second point guard, along with Stacey Dales.

TEN
Oklahoma has 10 players averaging double-figure minutes, of which only five are averaging more than 20-plus minutes per game. Freshman Gabbi Ortiz leads the Sooners at 31.8 minutes a game - the only OU player to crack the 30-plus minute mark.
Of the final four players who aren't in double-digit minutes, two are close: Maddie Manning is at 9.0 minutes a game and T'ona Edwards is averaging 8.8.
TWENTY-SECOND
Oklahoma is currently ranked 22nd in the nation in - and second in the Big 12 -in scoring offense, averaging 79.4 points per game.
The Sooners are also 29th in the nation in three-point field goals per game, hitting 7.8 a game. Finally they are 30th in field goal percentage, hitting 45.6 from the field.
THIRTY-FOUR.FIVE
The Oklahoma bench is averaging 34.5 points per game for the Sooners. In its 100-73 victory over Lamar, Nov. 18, the bench contributed a season-best 56 points and in its tough loss at Duke, Dec. 17, the bench chipped in for 43 of the 72 points.
The Sooners bench averaged 22.5 points a game in non-conference a season ago and contributed 16.3 points a game during Big 12 contests.
THIRTY-EIGHT
When Oklahoma hosts Yale on Dec. 30 it will be the first game in the Lloyd Noble Center in 38 days for the Sooners. OU last played in the LNC on Nov. 21 when it defeated Bradley 104-55. That victory ended an opening three-game homestand - where the Sooners went 3-0 - and began a seven-game roadswing. Oklahoma ended the tough seven-game stretch with a 2-5 record, including losing the final three contests.
The longest stretch away from the Lloyd Noble Center prior to this season was six games during the 2006-07 season. That year, the Sooners didn't play at home from Nov. 13 until Dec. 10. They finished that stretch a perfect 6-0.
OU is currently 2-4 in this seven-game stretch.
PREVIEWING YALE
Yale enters into its game with Oklahoma with a 4-7 overall record. The Bulldogs have lost three of the last four games, including a 69-51 setback at No. 25 Arizona State Sunday. Yale has two players averaging double-figure points: Sarah Halejian leads the squad at 14.9 points a game and Katie Werner is chipping in 10.2 a contest. The Bulldogs game at Oklahoma will be their fifth-straight road contest. Yale last played at home on Dec. 6 earning a 66-59 victory over Boston University.
Chris Gobrecht is currently in her 10th year as the head coach of Yale.
OKLAHOMA-YALE SERIES
This will be the first meeting between Oklahoma and Yale.
THREE NEWCOMERS IN STARTING LINEUP
Sixty-percent of the Oklahoma Sooners starters have been new to the squad in five of the 10 games thus far. In four of the five games, two freshmen and one a transfer started while the final game - and most recent game against Arkansas - three freshmen were in the starting lineup. The last time the Sooners started three newcomers together was during the 2003-04 season when three freshman - Leah Rush, Erin Higgins and Britney Brown were in the starting lineup for one game together. That game came in a 74-65 setback to Kansas State, Jan. 31, 2004.
FREE THROW LINE
The University of Oklahoma is struggling from the free throw line. The Sooners are only shooting 60.4 percent (128-of-212) from the charity stripe - currently ranked 323rd in the NCAA. Oklahoma did post its best free throw shooting outing of the season in its 4-point loss at UALR though. The Sooners sank a season-high 81.3 percent (13-of-16) from the charity stripe.
KORNET AND BROTHER LUKE LIGHTING IT UP
Oklahoma women's basketball junior Nicole Kornet isn't the only Kornet lighting it up from the 3-point arc this season. Kornet's brother Luke is a sophomore on the Vanderbilt men's basketball team and has drained 15 3-pointers this season, three less than sister Nicole. Luke, whose team is currently 8-3 on the year, is averaging 9.3 points a game compared to Nicole's 10.4. Kornet's father Frank played professional basketball for five years, including two in the NBA after being drafted out of Vanderbilt by the Milwaukee Bucks. Mother Tracey is an Emmy-award winning primetime weeknight anchor in Nashville, Tenn., and formerly in Dallas.
PIERRE-LOUIS MAKING AN IMPACT
Oklahoma freshman center Vionise Pierre-Louis is making an impact on the court for the Sooners, averaging 4.8 points and 3.3 rebounds in 10.1 minutes a game. Pretty impressive for a player who only started playing organized basketball five years ago and was cleared medically in October after rehabbing an ACL tear that happened in the high school state championship game a season ago.
3-POINTERS
After hitting a season-high 13 3-pointers at Duke, Dec. 17, Oklahoma hit just two 3-pointers against Arkansas. The last time the Soners hit that few 3-pointers was Feb. 22, 2014 when they went 0-for-11 in their 64-61 win over Kansas.
The 13 3-pointers against the Blue Devils were four shy of tying the Sooner school record and was the third double-figure 3-point outing of the season. OU has already attempted 219 3-pointers in 2014-15, 52 more than its opponents. The Sooners have hit an impressive 78 3-pointers (35.6 percent), while last year at this juncture they had only hit 67 (29.5 percent).
