SOONERS VISIT TROJANS SUNDAY
Oklahoma stays on the road for its fifth-consecutive game. The Sooners are set to play at Arkansas-Little Rock (UALR) Sunday at 4 p.m. OU enters into the contest with a 5-2 record and is receiving votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 polls, while UALR holds a 5-1 mark on the season.
SEVEN
The Oklahoma Sooners are in the midst of a seven-game roadswing. OU last played at home Nov. 21 and will not return to the friendly confines of the Lloyd Noble Center until Dec. 30 when it hosts Yale.
The longest stretch away from the Lloyd Noble Center prior to this season was six games during the 2006-07 season. That year, the Sooners didn't play at home from Nov. 13 until Dec. 10. They finished that stretch a perfect 6-0.
OU is currently 2-2 in this seven-game stretch.

Gabbi Ortiz is the ninth true freshman to start the season opener under Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale. She's just the second point guard, along with Stacey Dales.

Oklahoma is currently ranked tenth in the nation in scoring offense - and second in the Big 12 - averaging 85.1 points per game.
The Sooners are also 12th in the nation in field goal percentage, hitting 47.9 percent of their shots, and 14th in assists per game at 18.3. Finally they are 23rd in three-point field goals per game, sinking 8.0.
Individually, senior Sharane Campbell-Olds has the 14th best field goal percentage in the nation at 60.9.
TWENTY-EIGHT
Oklahoma recorded 28 assists on 41 baskets in its 100-73 win over Lamar, Nov. 18. The 28 team assists were the most assists passed out in a game since the Sooners also had 28 in their victory over Cal State Bakersfield, Dec. 12, 2008.
Oklahoma followed the performance up passing out 25 assists in its 104-55 victory over Bradley, Nov. 21.
The Sooners have recorded back-to-back 20-assist contests one other time since the 2009-10 season. It came last season versus UT Arlington (22) and UCLA (21).
OU is averaging 18.3 assists per game this season - 14th most in thee nation. It ended 2013-14 averaging 14.1
THIRTY-SEVEN
In OU's 68-39 win over North Texas, the Sooners forced the Mean Green to turn the ball over a season-high 37 times.
Oklahoma forced one team in 2013-14 to turn the ball over 30-plus times: 34 vs. UT Arlington. The last time OU forced a team to turn the ball over 37 times was Nov. 25, 2011 when Liberty turned the ball over 37 times in a 76-45 victory for the Sooners.
The Sooners themselves had 31 turnovers. The last time OU had 30-plus turnovers was March 11, 2006 when it had 32 against Baylor.
THIRTY-NINE
Oklahoma held North Texas to a season-low 39 points en route to its 68-39 victory, Dec. 7. The Mean Green was averaging 49.6 points a game prior to Sunday.
The Sooners held their opponents below 40 points three times in 2013-14. The last time an opponent didn't crack 40 points was March 3, 2014 when Texas Tech only scored 32 points. The Sooners won that game 87-32.
PREVIEWING UALR
UALR enters into its game with Oklahoma boasting a 5-1 overall record. The Trojans opened the year winning five straight and garnering votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 poll. UALR hiccupped in its last game, dropping a 74-58 decision to Tulane. The Trojans are holding their opponents to 53.0 points per game - 19th lowest in the nation. UALR, averaging 60.7 points per game, are led by Taylor Gault. Gault is coming off the bench to average a team-best 12.7 points per contest.
Joe Foley is in his 12th season in command of the Trojan women's basketball program. Joe Foley, the two-time SBC Coach of the Year and 2010 Russell Athletic/WBCA Regional Coach of the Year, has led UALR to 20-win seasons seven of the last eight years.
OKLAHOMA-UALR SERIES
The will be the 5th meeting between Oklahoma and UALR, with the Sooners winning all four previous meetings. The last time the two teams met on the hardwood was March 23, 2010 in Norman with Oklahoma earning the 60-44 victory in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The last time the game was played in Little Rock, Ark., was Dec. 5, 2000. The Sooners won 86-45.
THREE NEWCOMERS IN LINEUP
Sixty-percent of the Oklahoma Sooners starters are new to the squad, with two being freshmen and one a transfer. Freshman point guard Gabbi Ortiz and Texas A&M transfer Peyton Little has started all six games for the Sooners this season, while freshman guard LaNesia Williams cracked the starting lineup against Kentucky, Nov. 28 and has now started two-straight. The last time the Sooners started three newcomers together was during the 2003-04 season when three freshman - Leah Rush, Erin Higgins and Britney Brown were in the starting lineup for one game together. That game came in a 74-65 setback to Kansas State, Jan. 31, 2004.
FREE THROW LINE
The University of Oklahoma is struggling from the free throw line. The Sooners are only shooting 56.8 percent (88-of-155) from the charity stripe - currently ranked 335th in the NCAA. OU's opponent on Sunday - UALR - is fairing a bit better from the free throw line, sinking 67.4 percent (87-of-129), which is 173rd in the nation. The Sooners ended the 2013-14 season as the 31st best free throw shooting team in the enation, hitting 74.8 (592-791) percent from the stripe.
SPREADING THE PLAYING TIME AROUND
The University of Oklahoma has nine players averaging double-figure minutes, of which only five are averaging more than 20-plus minutes per game. Freshman Gabbi Ortiz leads the Sooners at 30.9 minutes a game - the only OU player to crack the 30-plus minute mark. Of the final five players who aren't in double-digit minutes, three are close: Maddie Manning is averaging 9.2, T'ona Edwards is averaging 9.1 and Vionise Pierre-Louis is at 8.3 minutes a game.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES
Senior Sharane Campbell-Olds and redshirt junior Kaylon Williams each posted a double-double in Oklahoma's 90-80 opening-game victory over Washington. Campbell-Olds scored a team-high 26 points - two shy of tying her career-high - and grabbed a game-high 11 boards. Williams posted a career-high 23 points and brought down 10 rebounds in 29 minutes.
Campbell-Olds again registered a double-double against Illinois, Nov. 29. She scored 14 points and had 10 boards. She was joined in the double-double club by freshman Gabbi Ortiz who scored 15 points and had 12 rebounds - both team-highs - for her first collegiate double-double.
The last time the Sooners had two players record double-doubles in the same game was Feb. 10, 2013 when Campbell-Olds posted 15 points and career-high 12 rebounds and Joanna McFarland had 10 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Oklahoma State.
BASKETBALL IN THE FAMILY
Oklahoma women's basketball redshirt sophomore Peyton Little - a transfer from Texas A&M - comes from an extremely athletic family. Her father, Richard Little played basketball for Texas Tech from 197-74; her uncle David Little played basketball at Oklahoma under former Sooner head coach Billy Tubbs from 1978-82 and uncle Mike Little played at Baylor University from 1979-80. Little wears uniform number 10, like her father Richard and uncle David did in college.
