• Oklahoma held Butler to 23.7 field goal percentage, the lowest mark by an OU opponent in more than a decade, en route to a 59-46 Battle 4 Atlantis semifinals win Thursday afternoon.
• One day after holding UCLA to 30 points below its season scoring average, OU held the Bulldogs to 35 points below their season average.
• Butler came into the game shooting 48.3 percent from the field and 35.4 percent from 3-point range on the season, but posted respective marks of 23.7 and 17.4 Thursday.
• After outrebounding No. 5 North Carolina by 17 and grabbing 29 offensive rebounds on Wednesday, Butler was outboarded 41-32 by Oklahoma and only grabbed 13 offensive caroms.
• With the game tied at 8, OU went on a 16-0 run to take a 24-8 lead with 8:23 to go in the first half. Butler went nearly eight minutes without a point during the drought. In the second half, after cutting OU's lead to eight (36-28 at the 17:45 mark), the Bulldogs went another 8 1/2 minutes without scoring.
• OU shot 65.0 percent from the field in the opening half, its best mark in a half this season, before settling for a 45.5 mark for the game. OU made its first 11 2-point field goal attempts of the game.
• Isaiah Cousins led OU in scoring for the second time this year, finishing with 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting. He added eight rebounds and two blocked shots. Cousins is averaging 7.6 boards per game on the year.
• TaShawn Thomas and Jordan Woodard scored 10 points apiece, and Ryan Spangler grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. It was the fourth time in five games Spangler grabbed at least 10 boards (had nine in the other). He has led OU in rebounding in all five outings.
• Oklahoma advances to the Battle 4 Atlantis championship game at 3:30 p.m. CT (televised by ESPN). OU will play Georgetown or Wisconsin.
