Peyton Little registered double-figure points in both contests for the Sooners this past week. The redshirt sophomore, who has now hit double-digits in all three OU games, averaged a team-best 14.5 points per game this past week and shot an impressive 59.1 percent (13-of-22) from the field. The guard also averaged 4.5 assists and 1.5 rebounds over the two contests. Little began the week scoring 14 points and passing out a career-high seven assists in the Sooners 100-73 victory over Lamar. She hit 6-of-12 from the field, including 2-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc. She followed up that performance scoring 15 points in 15 minutes of play against Bradley. This time she drained 7-of-10 from the field, and 1-of-2 from 3-point land. |

Oklahoma opens the 2014 Paradise Jam Thursday against South Florida. The opening contest for both schools is set to tip at 7:15 p.m. CT. Fans can watch for free online here.

In the most recent NCAA rankings, the Oklahoma Sooners are first in field goal percentage, currently hitting 54.7 percent from the field. Maryland is second at 52.5 percent.
The Sooners are also second in scoring offense (98.0) and fifth in assists per game (22.7).
Junior Kaylon Williams is the second-leading field goal percent shooter in the country, hitting76.9 percent. Oregon State's Ruth Hamblin leads the nation at 80.0.

Gabbi Ortiz is the ninth true freshman to start the season opener under Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale. She's just the second point guard, along with Stacey Dales.

All 13 active Sooners scored in their 104-55 victory over Bradley, Nov. 21 and all but one registered at least one rebound.
It was nearly identical for OU in its 100-73 win over Lamar, Nov. 18. Twelve of 13 players tallied points and 10 of 13 pulled down a rebound and passed out an assist.
Eleven of 13 players are averaging double-figure minutes and only four averaging more than 20 minutes a contest.
TWENTY-EIGHT
Oklahoma recorded 28 assists on 41 baskets in its 100-73 win over Lamar, Nov. 18. The 28 team assists were the most assists passed out in a game since the Sooners also had 28 in their victory over Cal State Bakersfield, Dec. 12, 2008.
Oklahoma followed the performance up passing out 25 assists in its 104-55 victory over Bradley, Nov. 21.
The Sooners have recorded back-to-back 20-assist contests one other time since the 2009-10 season. It came last season versus UT Arlington (22) and UCLA (21).
FIFTY
The Oklahoma Sooners have scored 50-plus points in four-straight halves of basketball. The Sooners tallied 50 points in each half of their 100-73 victory over Lamar, Nov. 18 and posted 54 in the opening half and 50 points in the second half of their 104-55 win against Bradley, Nov. 21.
OU scored 50-plus points in nine halves a season ago and their longest streak was 3-straight.
ONE HUNDRED
Oklahoma recorded back-to-back 100-plus point games for the first time since the 1991-92 season. The Sooners defeated Lamar 100-73 Nov. 18 and Bradley 104-55 on Nov. 21
During the 1990-91 campaign, the Sooners rattled off 3-straight 100-plus point performances; 105-35 win over Prairie View A&M (Dec. 14), 113-72 win over Baylor (Dec. 30) and a 108-82 victory over Texas Christian (Jan. 3).
PREVIEWING SOUTH FLORIDA
• The University of South Florida has opened the 2014-15 season with a 3-1 record. The Bulls only setback so far was a 85-67 loss at then No. 8/9 Maryland. USF's three victories are over Villanova (57-56), Chattanooga (59-57) and UNC Asheville (97-53). South Florida is currently receiving votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Top 25 poll; earning one and seven votes, respectively.
• The Bulls are led by Courtney Williams and Alisia Jenkins. Williams is averaging a team-best 17.5 points per game along with 8.5 rebounds a contest, while Jenkins is chipping in 11.5 points and a team-best 10.5 rebounds a game. Twelve of USF's 15 active players are averaging double-figure minutes.
• Jose Fernandez is in his 14th season as head coach of the USF women's basketball team. In his ten years, the Bulls have reached the post-season 10 times, made two NCAA Tournament appearances and had three players drafted into the WNBA.
OKLAHOMA-SOUTH FLORIDA SERIES
• The will be the first meeting between Oklahoma and South Florida.
PREVIEWING KENTUCKY
• The University of Kentucky enters into the Paradise Jam tournament ranked ninth in the Associated Press Top 25 poll and 10th in the USA Today Coaches Top 25 poll. The Wildcats are a perfect 4-0 on the year; defeating Appalachian State (111-74), then No. 8/9 Baylor (74-64), Morehead State (91-62) and Central Michigan (71-68).
• UK has three players averaging double-figure points. Jennifer O'Neill leads the charge at 18.8 points a contest, while Linnae Harper and Makayla Epps are adding 12.8 and 12.3 points a game, respectively. Harper is also averaging a team-best 7.3 boards a contest and Epps has dished out a team-tying high 13 assists.
• Matthew Mitchell is in his eighth year as head coach of the Kentucky Wildcats. The Mississippi State graduate is the all-time winningest coach at UK with a 174-71 record. In the last five seasons, UK has advanced to a school-record five consecutive NCAA tournaments, including three Elite Eights.
OKLAHOMA-KENTUCKY SERIES
• The University of Oklahoma and the University of Kentucky have met only once before on the hardwood and it was an epic contest. The Sooners and Wildcats battled in the Elite Eight of the 2010 NCAA Tournament with OU coming out on top with 88-68 victory. The win propelled the Sooners into their third Final Four appearance and second-consecutive.
PREVIEWING ILLINOIS
• The University of Illinois has begun the 2014-15 season with a perfect 4-0 start. The Fighting Ilini have defeated IPFW (70-63), Robert Morris (66-48), Memphis (60-58) and Southern University (62-42).
• Illinois has three players averaging double-figure points. Chartrice White is averaging a team-best double-double of 16.3 points and 11.3 rebounds a contest. Amarah Coleman is chipping in 10.5 points a game, while Ivory Crawford is averaging 10.3 points per contest.
• Matt Bollant is in his third season as head coach of Illinois. Bollant came to Illinois after a successful five-year stint at Green Bay, where he guided the Phoenix to five straight Horizon League titles and four straight trips to the NCAA Tournament.
OKLAHOMA-ILLINOIS SERIES
• The will be the fifth meeting between Oklahoma and Illinois, with the Sooners leading the series 3-1. Oklahoma and Illinois last played each other on Dec. 5, 2007 in Champaign, Ill. The Sooners earned the 77-67 victory.
LAST TIME AT THE PARADISE JAM
• The University of Oklahoma last played in the Paradise Jam Tournament during the 2009-10 season. The Sooners finished the tournament 2-1 and fell to then No. 5 Notre Dame, 81-71, in what became the championship contest. OU's two victories were against South Carolina (75-67) and San Diego State (87-48).
