• No. 18/18 Oklahoma squandered a 42-28 early second-half lead and dropped its first road contest of the year at Creighton, 65-63. OU was outscored 41-21 the final 18:09.

• After falling behind by two, OU retook a 61-57 lead with 3:37 to go.

• Creighton extended its home court winning streak to 21 games, the nation's fifth-longest current streak.

• OU scored the first seven points of each half. Creighton took its first lead of the night with 11:38 left in the second half (48-46). It marked the Sooners' first deficit of the season.

• Junior guard Buddy Hield scored the game's first seven points and finished with a game-high 21 while adding seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. After going 7 for 7 from 3-point range in Sunday's opener, Hield was 3 for 7 tonight. He made his first attempt of the game to open the year 8 for 8.

• In his second game as a Sooner, senior forward TaShawn Thomas finished with 14 points, six boards and three assists. He was 6 for 12 from the field.

• Junior forward Ryan Spangler registered his second straight double-double (12th in his second season as a Sooner) with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He was 3 for 4 from 3-point range, matching the same number of makes he had all of last season (3 for 11). He made his first three trey attempts tonight.

• OU outrebounded Creighton 44-37. The Bluejays held a +11.0 average rebounding margin entering the game.

• After shooting 24.0 percent from the field in the first half, Creighton shot 48.4 percent in the second half. The Bluejays outshot OU 37.5-35.5 percent.

• OU is back in action Sunday at 2 p.m. when it hosts Northwestern State at Lloyd Noble Center. The game will be televised by Sooner Sports TV (FS Oklahoma).
