Kaylon Williams // RS-Jr. // CKaylon Williams scored a career-high 23 points in the Sooners 10-point victory over Washington Friday, Nov. 14. The redshirt junior also grabbed 10 boards in 29 minutes, more playing time than she accumulated in any single game last season. Seventeen of Williams' 23 points came in the second half, along with eight of her rebounds. The Huskies cut the Sooners lead to single digits five times in the second half and Williams was crucial in putting the game away. With OU's lead at eight – with 7:24 remaining – Williams led the charge scoring seven of the Sooners next 10 points to give them an 18 point advantage with a little over four minutes to play. |

TWO GAMES THIS WEEK
The Oklahoma (1-0) women's basketball team continues its opening three-game homestand hosting Lamar University (0-1), Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. The Cardinals play at Tulsa Monday before making the trip to Norman. The Sooners then welcome Bradley University to the Lloyd Noble Center Friday, Nov. 21 for a 7 p.m. tip.

400th career win at Oklahoma. In her 19th season, Coale is now 400-194.
• Oklahoma was picked fifth in the preseason poll of the Big 12 coaches. The Sooners received 46 votes to claim their fifth place standing.
• Redshirt sophomore transfer Peyton Little was tabbed the Big 12 Preseason Newcomer of the Year.
• Oklahoma returns seven letterwinners from its squad that finished 18-15 and 9-9 in the Big 12 a season ago. It must replace three starters who averaged nearly 50 percent of the Sooners scoring in 2013-14, including Aaryn Ellenberg, the second leading scorer in OU history and the 10th leading 3-point shooter in NCAA history.
• The Sooners boast one four-year senior and two juniors on a squad of 15. They are led by 5-10 senior guard Sharane Campbell-Olds and 6-3 junior forward Kaylon Williams. Campbell-Olds averaged 12.6 points and 5.4 rebounds a season ago while Williams chipped in 7.0 points and 4.2 rebounds off the bench.
• OU also returns redshirt sophomores Maddie Manning and Peyton Little. Manning is returning after back-to-back season ending knee injuries. Little, a transfer from Texas A&M, is eligible after sitting out a year due to NCAA transfer rules.
• The Sooners welcome six newcomers to the squad: freshmen Gabbi Ortiz, McKenna Treece, Gileysa Penzo, LaNesia Williams, Vionise Pierre-Louis and senior Whitney Ritchie. Penzo will miss the 2014-15 season due to a knee injury suffered this past summer, while Ritchie joins the OU team after a stellar four-year tennis career at Oklahoma.
PREVIEWING LAMAR
• Lamar University opened the 2014-15 season with a 75-55 setback to Louisiana-Lafayette, Nov. 14. The Cardinals had three players finish in double-figures; Dominique Edwards (20 pts), Baileigh O'Dell (12 pts) and Kiandra Bowers (11 pts).
• Lamar ended the 2013-14 campaign with an 18-13 overall record and 13-5 mark in the Southland Conference. The league mark tied for first and helped the Cardinals reach the WNIT. Lamar returned seven letterwinners from last year's squad, including four of five starters.
• Head coach Robin Harmony begins her second year with the Cardinals. The 1984 Miami graduate took over as head coach in April of 2013 after six seasons at St. Thomas University. She was St. Thomas' first-ever women's basketball coach, posting an impressive 131-48 record. Harmony, a two-time Sun Conference Coach of the Year, led the Bobcats to three appearances in the NAIA National Championships.
OKLAHOMA-LAMAR SERIES
• The University of Oklahoma and Lamar University have faced each other twice before on the hardwood with the Sooners winning both contests. The two teams last met Nov. 26, 2006 in Beaumont, Texas with OU earning the 79-44 victory. Their first meeting came Dec. 2, 2005 with the Sooners claiming a 60-42 win in Norman.
Gabbie Ortiz is the ninth true freshman to start the season opener under Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale and the second point guard, along with Stacey Dales.
DOUBLE-DOUBLES
•Senior Sharane Campbell-Olds and redshirt junior Kaylon Williams each posted a double-double in Oklahoma's 90-80 opening-game victory over Washington. Campbell-Olds scored a team-high 26 points - two shy of tying her career-high - and grabbed a game-high 11 boards. Williams posted a career-high 23 points and brought down 10 rebounds in 29 minutes; more playing time than she accumulated in any single game last season. It was Campbell-Olds sixth double-double of her career and Williams third and first since here freshman campaign. The last time the Sooners has two players record double-doubles in the same game was Feb. 10, 2013 when Campbell-Olds posted 15 points and career-high 12 rebounds and Joanna McFarland had 10 points and 15 rebounds.

20-PLUS POINT SCORERS
• Oklahoma women's basketball had two players score 20-plus points in its win over Washington, Nov. 14. Senior Sharane Campbell-Olds and redshirt junior Kaylon Williams tallied 26 and 23 points, respectively. The Sooners had two 20-plus point scorers in four contests a season ago: vs. UT Arlington (Aaryn Ellenberg 24 pts, Derica Wyatt 23 pts); vs. Duke (Aaryn Ellenberg 28 pts/Morgan Hook 24 pts); at Kansas State Nicole Griffin 23 pts, Morgan Hook 21 pts).
BIG CROWD ON OPENING NIGHT
• Attendance for Friday's game between Oklahoma and Washington was 5,230. It was the largest crowd for a regular-season home opener dating back to November 13, 2011 against Sacramento State. That opening game had 5,814 in attendance for OU's 117-55 victory overt the Hornets.
