NORMAN - For the second consecutive year, an OU women's basketball practice will be televised live in HD on Sooner Sports TV.
This year's televised practice will air on Thursday, Oct. 23 from 2 to 3 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Southwest and nationally on FOX College Sports Central. The show will be streamed live as premium content on SoonerSports.tv from 2 to 3:30 p.m. CT.
Head coach Sherri Coale will wear a microphone during the broadcast and four cameras will be utilized during the show to bring viewers an inside look at Oklahoma's practice.
Sooner fans will get their first look at OU's six newcomers: freshmen Gabbi Ortiz, McKenna Treece, Gileysa Penzo (who will be on the sidelines after a knee injury halted her season), LaNesia Williams, Vionise Pierre-Louis and senior Whitney Ritchie.
Sooner Sports TV reporters Jessica Coody and Lyndsey Cloman, a former Sooner basketball player, will host the practice show.
Oklahoma opens its season on Nov. 5 with an exhibition contest against Southeastern Oklahoma State at 7 p.m. OU's regular season opener is set for Nov. 14 against Washington in the Lloyd Noble Center. Tip is also set for 7 p.m.
