Sooner Sports TV to Televise OKC Caravan

NORMAN, Okla. -- You don't have to be a Sooner Club member to get inside the doors at the Sooner Caravan. For the first time, Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports will broadcast the celebration of OU Athletics from the tour's stop in Oklahoma City.
A one-hour show recapping the event premieres Thursday, Aug. 1, at 11 p.m. Central on FS Oklahoma and re-airs Friday, Aug. 2, at midnight on FCS Central, 1 p.m. on FS Southwest and 7 p.m. on FS Oklahoma.
The Sooner Caravan is a traveling meet-and-greet featuring various Sooner personalities held in intimate settings as a “thank you” to Sooner Club members. In 2013, the tour visited Tulsa, Wichita, Houston and Dallas and finishes at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City Wednesday, July 31, at 7 p.m.

OU Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione, head football coach Bob Stoops, head men's basketball coach Lon Kruger and head women's basketball coach Sherri Coale will speak. Lauren Chamberlain from OU's national championship softball team, Aaryn Ellenberg (women's basketball), Gabe Ikard (football), Bronson Irwin (football) and Ryan Spangler (men's basketball) are also scheduled to be in attendance.
The Sooner Sports TV-produced show will highlight their remarks to those in attendance and include exclusive interviews from reporter Jessica Coody.
Wednesday also marks the beginning of FOX Sports as the digital media partner of OU Athletics and distributor of premium online services at SoonerSports.com. The relationship extends the multimedia rights that launched Sooner Sports TV powered by FOX Sports in September 2012. Since that date, Sooner Sports TV has produced more than 400 hours of original programming and 2,600 hours of OU Athletics content that has aired on various FOX networks, including FS Oklahoma, FS Southwest and FOX College Sports (FCS).
