Sooner Club Completes Another Record-Setting Year
Donations to the Sooner Club annual giving campaign reached $7.6 million in 2000-2001, which is the largest amount raised in the history of the athletic department. The total eclipses the previous record of $6.3 million raised during the 1999-2000 campaign. Funds received from annual gifts help pay the scholarship costs of OU's student-athletes in every varsity sport.
Renewals for the 2001-2002 campaign will be mailed in mid-November. Contact the Sooner Club office with questions about annual giving.
Priority Basketball Tickets Still Available
Priority seats in both the lower and upper arena sections of Lloyd Noble Center still remain for the 2001-2002 men's basketball season. The home of Sooner Hoops has undergone several changes since last season, bringing fans closer to the action as they support the defending Big 12 Tournament Champions.
A $100 per seat donation to the Sooner Club will get seats in sections E1, E2, E6, E7, and W1-W5. Additionally, a $250 per seat gift will acquire a location in LS1-LS8 and LN5-LN8. The donation is separate from the price of a season ticket, which is $280 for the upcoming year.
Call (405) 325-8000 or (800) 522-0772, ext. 8000 with questions about priority seating for Sooner men's basketball.

Athletic Department Welcoming Back 47-Straight Teams
Members of the historic 47-game winning streak will return to the University of Oklahoma campus on November 2-3 for a celebration and reunion. Originally slated for the September 15 game against Tulsa, the reunion has been rescheduled, along with the OU-TU game, for November 3.
The legendary streak took place from 1953-1957, and team members from each of those teams were invited to join in the festivities. Activities begin Friday evening, November 2, with a dinner and banquet inside Memorial Stadium's Santee Lounge. On Saturday, Director of Football Operations Merv Johnson will give the team a guided tour of the Barry Switzer Center and renovated locker room facilities. Prior to the game, team members will be honored guests at the Sooner Club tent, then will be recognized at halftime of the game on Owen Field.
