Kaycee Clark enters her fifth season as a full-time staff member of the Oklahoma softball staff. Clark is no stranger to the Sooner program as she was a member of the 2001 and 2002 Women's College World Series teams. Clark is responsible for the day-to-day operations off the field while serving as a liaison for athletic department staff and the Diamond Club. "Kaycee brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm and passion to our program," head coach Patty Gasso said. "She was that way as a player and I enjoy working with her on an everyday basis again. She's is an excellent representative for our team and our university. She's a winner and knows the expectations of this program." Following her sophomore season at OU, Clark transferred to the University of Central Florida where she earned Atlantic Sun All-Tournament honors as a junior. As a second baseman at UCF, Clark recorded a .940 fielding percentage for the Golden Knights. |
Clark also excelled in the classroom. She received Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2002 at Oklahoma and was a member of the Atlantic Sun All-Academic team as a junior at Central Florida. In 1999, Clark was a member of the U.S. Junior National team that spent several weeks playing in Australia. After her playing career, Clark worked as a land assistant for Chesapeake Energy. She also served as coach of the Oklahoma Ice, a 14U travel squad, as well as giving various private hitting and fielding lessons. Born in Midwest City, Okla., Clark earned a bachelor's degree in liberal arts while at UCF. |
