DALLAS, Texas -- Oklahoma faces West Virginia in the Big 12 Championship tournament quarterfinal at the American Airlines Center Saturday, March 9, at 8:30 p.m.

Oklahoma and West Virginia split the regular-season series with each team winning at home. The Sooners opened conference play Jan. 2 with a 71-68 victory in Norman. The Mountaineers defeated the Sooners 82-63 in Morgantown, W.Va., on Feb. 3.

Oklahoma is 22-13 all-time in the Big 12 Championship and is tied with Baylor with a league-leading four tournament titles in its history. The Sooners are 8-4 in the quarterfinal round and have advanced to at least the semifinal round each of the last four years.

Note to viewers in Texas: In the state of Texas, the game will be available to cable subscribers on FCS Central and to satellite providers through FOX Sports Oklahoma due to a Dallas Stars game being televised on FOX Sports Southwest.

  OKLAHOMA STORYLINES
• Junior guard Aaryn Ellenberg, who already owns Oklahoma's top two 3-point shooting seasons, needs just one 3-pointer to match Erin Higgins' (2003-07) career record of 268 makes.
• Oklahoma has relied on an early advantage. The Sooners are 17-0 this season when leading at halftime; 4-9 when tied or trailing.
• Oklahoma owns the Big 12's second best scoring offense (71. 3 points) against conference opponents.
• The Sooners are 7 of 30 (.233) from 3-point range against West Virginia in 2012-13. OU made eight 3-pointers per game and averaged 38 percent from beyond the arc this season.
• Oklahoma is 20-1 when it has a higher field goal percentage than its opponent and 17-1 when it holds an opponent to 40 percent or lower field goal shooting.

WEST VIRGINIA STORYLINES
• Junior guard Jess Harlee suffered a season-ending knee injury in WVU's regular-season finale loss at Texas. Harlee averaged 4.5 points this season, but scored 9.0 points in two games against the Sooners. Harlee was named to the All-Big 12 Defensive Team Thursday.
• The injury to Harlee was the third for the Mountaineers, who lost senior center Asya Bussie and sophomore guard Akilah Bethel to knee injuries earlier in the season.
• West Virginia has the Big 12's third-leading scoring defense (62.5 points) against conference opponents.
• WVU is 4-3 in games decided by five points or less. One of those losses was to Oklahoma, 71-68, on Jan. 2
• The Mountaineers, picked in the preseason to finish second (tied with Oklahoma), ended its inaugural Big 12 year tied for fifth.
