A long tradition of Sooner greats have donned the Crimson and Cream on the hardwood, including 33 All-American honors. Highlighted on the list are OU's 11 Consensus First-Team All-Americans: Bud Browning (1935), Thomas Churchill (1929), Blake Griffin (2009), Hield (2016), Stacey King (1989), Allie Paine (1944), Wayman Tisdale (1983, 1984, 1985), Gerald Tucker (1947) and Trae Young (2019).
Oklahoma has produced four National Player of the Year honorees: Vic Holt (1928), Gerald Tucker (1947), Blake Griffin (2009) and Buddy Hield (2016).
