NORMAN, Okla. -- The 30th-ranked University of Oklahoma men's golf team finished in ninth place at The Aggie Invitational in Bryan, Texas, after carding a 54-hole score of 879 (+15). The two-day tournament, which was the Sooners' last regular season outing, was played at the 7,146-yard, par-72 Traditions Club.

Against a formidable field (all 12 squads are ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin top 35), OU registered an even par score in Sunday's final round. On Saturday, the Sooners shot a first-round 295 (+7) and a second-round 296 (+8). OU completed the tournament 33 strokes behind winner and second-ranked Alabama. One of three Big 12 teams in the event, OU finished nine strokes ahead of Oklahoma State (10th place) and 28 strokes in front of Texas Tech (12th place).

In the final round, OU junior Michael Schoolcraft fired a 3-under 69 to tie for 11th place out of 72 competitors, good for his fourth top-20 showing of the season. Schoolcraft, who started the day in 25th, carded a bogey-free round with birdies on holes 3, 6 and 15. He finished with a three-round 217 (+1).

Sophomore Charlie Saxon, who replaced injured senior Will Kropp in OU's lineup this weekend, shot a three-round 221 (+5) and finished in 27th place. On Sunday, he recorded four birdies en route to a 2-under 70.

One stroke behind Saxon was freshman Beau Titsworth, who carded five birdies and shot even par in the final round. Titsworth recorded a three-round 222 to finish at 6 over par and tied for 32nd place.

With a three-round 224 (+8), senior Abraham Ancer finished in 40th place after shooting a 5-over 77 on Sunday. Sophomore Michael Gellerman concluded the event at 13 over par and tied for 55th.

Competing as an individual, junior Eduardo Castiello shot a third-round 75 (+3) and finished in 67th place at 17 over par.

The Sooners return to action April 22 at the Big 12 Championships in Hutchinson, Kan.
