The Sooners host the OU Invite March 9 and 10 |
NORMAN, Okla. - This weekend's OU Invitational, hosted by the
University of Oklahoma and the OU rowing program, will be streamed live online
by SoonerSports.tv. The fourth-annual event will be held on Saturday, March 9
and Sunday, March 10 on the scenic Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City.
"We are excited to have SoonerSports.tv broadcast the OU Invitational for the
first time this weekend," head coach
Leeanne Crain said. "It will be a great opportunity
for Sooner fans across the country to watch us compete. We are looking forward
to opening up the 2013 season at home, and can't wait to have our great fans watch
us not only at the racecourse in Oklahoma River, but also anywhere around the
world online."
Six teams comprise the 2013 OU Invitational field and a total of 53 races will
be held over the course of two days. The Sooners host Big 12 rivals Kansas and
Kansas State in addition to Minnesota and local foes UCO and Tulsa. More information

The two-day event is divided into three sessions, two on Saturday, March 9 and
one on Sunday, March 10. Each session is divided into three groups, with two teams

Saturday morning's session begins at 8 a.m., with OU's races commencing at 10
a.m. Saturday afternoon's first race is at 2:30 p.m. The Sooners and Minnesota
square off for six races beginning at 4:20.
The OU Invite concludes Sunday morning, and Oklahoma meets Kansas in the middle
group of races at 10:20 a.m.
The competition will be held on OU's home course at the Exchange Boathouse on
the Oklahoma River. The boathouse is located at 1409 Exchange Ave. in Oklahoma
