NORMAN, Okla. -- The 26th-ranked University of Oklahoma men's golf team finished 15th at the Southern Highlands Collegiate Masters in Las Vegas, Nev., after recording a three-round 914 (+50). The prestigious tournament, which featured some of the nation's top squads, was held at the Southern Highlands Golf Club, a 7,510-yard, par-72 course.
 
OU struggled in Sunday's final round, shooting a 314 (+26) against an elite field with all 15 teams ranked in the Golfweek/Sagarin top 50, including 11 of the top 13 squads. No. 1-ranked California won the tournament with a three-round 856 (-8), 13 strokes ahead of Alabama.
 
After starting the final round in a tie for seventh place, junior Michael Schoolcraft carded a 4-over-par 76 in the third round to finish the tournament at 3 over par and tied for 16th, his third top-20 showing of the season.
 
Senior Abraham Ancer fired a third-round 78 (+6) to conclude the event at 11 over par. Ancer recorded birdies on holes 3, 9 and 10 in the final round.
 
Freshman Beau Titsworth shot an 81 (+9) Sunday, contributing to a three-round total of 233 (+17), and senior Will Kropp finished two strokes behind Titsworth at 19 over par. Junior Eduardo Castiello recorded a three-round 244 (+28).
 
The Sooners return to action Friday, March 15, when they travel to Laredo, Texas, for the Border Olympics.
