  Oklahoma Team Notes


The game was Oklahoma's third meeting ever with West Virginia, but first visit to Morgantown, W. Va. The Sooners are 1-1 against the Mountaineers in Norman, Okla., after losing the first matchup between the schools in 1989 and winning 71-68 in Norman, Okla., earlier this season in the first Big 12 meeting.

The game was West Virginia's Play 4 Kay awareness game. The Sooners host their Pack the Place Pink night Thursday, Feb. 14, versus Iowa State.

Oklahoma's injury-depleted bench contributed just five points, all from freshman Nicole Kornet, while West Virginia's bench scored 40 of its 82 points.

Junior G Aaryn Ellenberg
Ellenberg scored 12 points for 1,487 in her career. She needs just five to pass Dionnah Jackson (2002-05) for 11th on Oklahoma's career scoring list and 25 points to pass Angi Guffy (1992-95) for 10th.

Ellenberg has seven blocks in her last eight games. In her 82 career games prior, she totaled only three.

Junior C Nicole Griffin
Griffin had two blocks. He needs two more to tie Ashley Paris (2006-09) for fourth on Oklahoma's career blocks list.

Junior G Morgan Hook
Hook counted her 12th consecutive game with a positive assist-to-turnover ratio (five assists to four turnovers. Hook has 58 assists and 30 turnovers through eight Big 12 Conference games.

Senior F Joanna McFarland
McFarland has recorded double-digit rebounding totals in 10 of her last 13 games. For the third time this season, McFarland collected a career-high 16 rebounds.

McFarland's five double-doubles in Big 12 Conference games leads the league.
