THE SERIES
No. 1 Oklahoma will take a trip to Denton, Texas, to compete against Texas Woman's University on Friday, March 1, at 7 p.m. CT. The Sooners hold a 61-3 advantage over TWU in the all-time series and have come out on top in the last 37 meetings between the two teams. OU and TWU met up earlier this year on Feb. 15 at the Perfect 10 Challenge in Oklahoma City where the Sooners scored a 197.450 to TWU's 191.425.
A LOOK AT TWU
TWU is coming off a season-high team score of 193.575 this past Sunday in a home quad meet. The performance by the Pioneers set their initial RQS at 192.135, good enough for 2nd amongst all NCAA Division II teams and 55th in the nation. TWU has wins over Bowling Green, Wisconsin-Whitewater, Lindenwood, Illinois State, Centenary and Air Force this season.
NO. 1 IN THE NATION
Oklahoma is ranked No. 1 in the nation this week with a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 197.410, the first time this season the Sooners have topped the polls after five consecutive weeks at No. 2. The No. 1 ranking marks the third week in program history OU has been at the top of the rankings after doing so for two weeks in 2010, a season in which the Sooners finished national runners-up. OU has been ranked in the top 5 each of the past 19 regular season rankings and in the top 10 for 59 consecutive weeks overall dating back to midway through the 2009 season.
RECORD SCORES KEEP COMING
OU recorded its top score in program history against No. 5 UCLA, earning a 198.375. The Sooners are currently on a six-meet streak scoring above a 197, a program record and the longest such streak in the nation. OU has cracked the top 10 best program marks multiple times already this season and are poised to continue to rewrite the record books.

LAST WEEKEND - No. 5 UCLA
The No. 2 Oklahoma women's gymnastics team posted a school-record score, defeating No. 5 UCLA in a 198.375-197.200 win in front of a record crowd of 2,874 fans at the Lloyd Noble Center. The 198.375 surpassed the program's previous best score of 197.950 set against Alabama in 2010. In addition to the record-high total score, the Sooners posted season high marks on every event, including a 49.525 on vault, 49.575 on bars, 49.550 on beam and a 49.675 on floor. OU's beam and floor scores are the highest of any team in the nation this season coming into the day. Olson took the all-around title with a 39.700, a career high score that topped UCLA's Vanessa Zamarripa, the nation's top all-arounder, who scored a 39.650. Junior Taylor Spears and freshman Keeley Kmieciak tied Zamarripa with career high scores, also scoring 39.650.
HISTORIC NIGHT
• Oklahoma's win over UCLA rewrote the record books in many different ways:
• OU's team score of 198.375 is the highest score by any team in NCAA women's gymnastics since 2004. It is also the highest score in program history, the highest score in Big 12 history and the highest score in the nation this season.
• OU's vault score of 49.525 is the second-highest score in program history and the highest since 2002.
• OU's bars score of 49.575 is the highest score in OU history, besting a 49.550 in 2003.
• OU's beam score of 49.600 is the highest score in the nation this season and gives OU the three highest scores in the country this year.
• OU's floor score of 49.675 is the highest score by any team in NCAA women's gymnastics since 2009. It is also tied for the highest score in OU history and the highest since 2003 and is the highest score of any team in the nation this year.
• Brie Olson's 39.700 all-around score is tied for the highest score in OU history with Kasie Tamayo (2004) and is the top all-around score in the nation this season.
• Olson's score, coupled with Taylor Spears' 39.650 and Keeley Kmieciak's 39.650 in the same meet, is the first time three teammates have each earned a 39.650 or above in the same meet since Utah did so in 2004 and the first time such a feat has happened in OU history.
SOONERS SWEEP BIG 12 WEEKLY AWARDS
Senior Brie Olson was named Gymnast of the Week for the second-straight week and third time this season after setting a national-high mark in the all-around at 39.700 vs. No. 5 UCLA. Freshman Maile'ana Kanewa earned her first-career award after being named Specialist of the Week, totaling a 9.925 on her first collegiate vault coming off of wrist surgery. Freshman Keeley Kmieck won Newcomer of the Week, her third weekly honor, for scoring 39.650 in the all-around. OU has now swept the awards five times in the last six weeks and six times overall, earning 22 of 24 weekly honors this season.
MAGIC NUMBER
The Sooners are the only team in the country to have scored a 197.000 or higher at three road meets this season (OU has done it at four) and one of only three teams in the country to have done it even twice on the road. OU currently holds a season average of 197.322 overall (197.410 RQS) and has scored above a 197.000 in six-straight meets, a program record.
WIN, WIN, WIN
Oklahoma is a perfect 15-0 in eight meets this season, making the Sooners the only undefeated team in the country. OU is looking for its fourth undefeated regular season in seven total season under head coach K.J. Kindler to go with unbeaten campaigns in 2008 (14-0), 2010 (14-0) and 2011 (15-0). Under Kindler, Oklahoma is 95-9 (.913) overall against regular season opponents.
BEST ON BEAM
Oklahoma retains its No. 1 ranking nationally on beam with a 49.395 RQS, staying at the top spot for the sixth-consecutive week. The Sooners scores of 49.600, 49.525 and 49.475 are the three highest scores of any team in the country on the event. In addition to their success on beam, the Sooners are also nationally ranked No. 3 on floor (49.340), No. 3 on bars (49.360) and No. 6 on vault (49.320).
NATIONAL RANKINGS
• Oklahoma is also the only team in the country to have five different gymnasts ranked in the top 25 in any event, with five ranked on both bars and beam.
• In the beam rankings, four Sooners occupy the top eight spots, including Spears at No. 1, Olson at No. 3, Brewer at No. 4 and sophomore Lauren Alexander at No. 8 while junior Madison Mooring also ranks No. 17.
• On bars, Spears again leads the way ranked No. 7 in the country, followed by Brewer at No. 13, Kmieciak at No. 15, Olson at No. 19 and sophomore Rebecca Clark at No. 24.
• Freshman Haley Scaman continued her streak near the top of the floor rankings, coming in at No. 4 this week with a 9.915 RQS. She was joined by Olson, ranked No. 13 at 9.885.
• On vault, the freshman duo of Kmieciak and Scaman are the top-ranked Sooners at No. 22 in the nation.
