The win was Oklahoma's 700th victory in the program's 39-year history. Oklahoma won its 12th straight against Kansas State, with a 72-57 victory Wednesday. OU moved into a tie for second in the Big 12 Conference standings. Iowa State and Texas Tech (9-5) both had a mid-week bye Wednesday. The Sooners avoided three consecutive losses for the first time since early in the 2011-12 season when OU lost to Vanderbilt (Nov. 26), Ohio State (Dec. 4) and Fresno State (Dec. 8). OU's defense held Haley Texada to eight points. Texada scored a career-high 25 in the Feb. 6 meeting between the two teams, hitting 10-of-18 field goals, including three 3-pointers. Wednesday, Texada started the game 0-for-7 (0-for-5 from 3-point range) and finished 3-of-12 (2-of-8). OU's 52.5 percent (31 of 59) field goal shooting was its second highest mark of the season (.574 versus Northwestern State).

Junior G Morgan Hook With four assists to one turnover, Hook has counted a positive assist-to-turnover ratio in 17 straight games (107 assists to 50 turnovers in that span).
Senior F Joanna McFarland McFarland recorded her fourth double-double in the last five games. McFarland has a Big 12-leading nine double-doubles in conference play.
Junior G Aaryn Ellenberg With two 3-pointers Wednesday, Ellenberg is 14 makes shy of becoming OU's career 3-point leader (Erin Higgins, 268; 2003-07). Ellenberg's five assists matched a season high (vs. Oregon, Nov. 24).
Junior C Nicole Griffin Griffin extended her career-long streak of double-figure scoring games to seven.
