LAWRENCE, Kan. -- No. 22 Oklahoma lost its second straight game after falling to Kansas, 81-71, at Allen Fieldhouse Sunday.

Aaryn Ellenberg scored 21 points for the Sooners, who lost consecutive games for the first time this season after suffering a 72-68 defeat from No. 24 Iowa State last Thursday.

The loss surrendered Oklahoma's opportunity to reclaim second place in the Big 12 Conference after Iowa State fell to West Virginia Sunday. Five regular-season games remain.

Carolyn Davis scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Jayhawks.

Oklahoma trailed 34-22 at halftime and fell behind by as much as 19 points. The Sooners shot a season-low 27 percent in the first half and were undone by multiple missed layups.
