NORMAN, Okla. – University of Oklahoma head baseball coach Pete Hughes confirmed Tuesday that assistant coach Jack Giese will pursue other opportunities and will not return to the OU coaching staff for the 2014 season.
“I appreciate the positive contributions that Jack made to the Oklahoma baseball program over the past two seasons,” Hughes said. “On behalf of everyone associated with Oklahoma baseball, we wish Jack the very best going forward.”
Hughes indicated there was no timetable to fill this vacancy.
“I'm excited about the talented group of student-athletes on our roster,” Hughes continued. “Oklahoma is one of the marquee programs in college baseball. I'm eager to get back to work with our squad this spring.”
