NORMAN, Okla. – After having a winless Saturday, the OU women's tennis team bounced back to take four matches against Yale Sunday at the Northwestern Hidden Duals in Evanston, Ill.
Senior Whitney Wofford defeated Yale's Caroline Lynch 6-2, 5-7, 6-2. Junior Abbi Melrose topped Yale's Amber Li in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
Sophomores Emma Devine and Zita Engbroks defeated Sherry Li and Courtney Amos, respectively.
Freshman Morgan Chumney forced a third set but ultimately fell to Ree Ree Li, 6-1, 6-7, 6-4.
The Sooners will be back in action Sunday, Jan. 19 as they take on North Texas in their spring home opener.
