Big 12 Women's Hoops Schedule Released

NORMAN, Okla. -- One day after announcing its non-conference schedule, the University of Oklahoma learned the remainder as the Big 12 Conference released its 2012-13 composite Wednesday.

The 2013 conference schedule features a double round-robin format for the second consecutive year consisting of 18 games with conference members playing each other twice. The team (or teams) that finishes with the best winning percentage in league games will be crowned the Big 12 regular season champion.

Oklahoma opens hosting new conference member West Virginia on Wednesday, Jan. 2, at the Lloyd Noble Center. Oklahoma is then at Texas on Saturday, Jan. 5, and at TCU on Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Texas Tech visits on Jan. 12 before OU again travels with a matchup against Iowa State in Ames on Jan. 15. Texas crosses the Red River on Jan. 19.

The Sooners meet defending national champion Baylor for the first time on Jan. 26 in Waco, Texas.

Big 12 Composite Schedule | Oklahoma's Non-Conference Schedule

TCU returns to OU on Jan. 30. Oklahoma plays at Kansas State on Feb. 2 and then at West Virginia on Feb. 6.

The first Bedlam Series battle brings Oklahoma State to Norman on Feb. 10. The second matchup in Stillwater is Feb. 23.

Iowa State follows with a trip to the Lloyd Noble Center on Feb. 13. The Sooners face Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence on Feb. 17 and host Kansas State on Feb. 20.

Baylor at Oklahoma highlights the national schedule for Monday, Feb. 25.

Kansas visits Norman on Saturday, March 2, before Oklahoma finishes the regular season at Texas Tech on Monday, March 4.

The format has been adjusted for the 2013 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship as it will be played the weekend before the men's championship, and in a different city for the first time in the league's history. Dallas' American Airlines Center will host the women's championship Friday-Monday, March 8-11, 2013. The men's championship will be played March 13-16 in Kansas City's Sprint Center.

Two first round matchups of the Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship will be played on Friday, March 8, followed by quarterfinals on Saturday, March 9. Semifinals are scheduled for Sunday, March 10 with the final contested on Monday, March 11. The winner earns the Big 12's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship.

Dates may be adjusted after the television schedule is released.
