Student-Athletes Join to Open 2012-13

NORMAN, Okla. -- To open the 2012-13 athletics calendar, University of Oklahoma student-athletes gathered together Sunday evening at the Chesapeake Energy Stadium Club to recite The Sooner Oath, a tradition that has taken place since 2007. OU President David L. Boren and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione addressed the student-athletes during the ceremony.

Additionally, a new tradition was born as the OU Freshman Class of 2016 congregated inside the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band to form a giant OU on Owen Field.
