WACO, Texas -- No. 7 Oklahoma's 17-game winning streak came to an end Sunday as the Sooners fell to No. 15 Baylor, 1-0, in the finale of a three-game series with the Bears that OU took 2-1. With the loss, Oklahoma fell to 26-4 while Baylor improved to 22-8. Oklahoma won the first two games of the series, 2-0 and 5-0.

Oklahoma fell for the first time since losing to No. 11 Georgia, 3-2, on Feb. 25 at the Cathedral City Classic in Palm Springs, Calif. The 17-game win streak was the fifth longest at Oklahoma under Patty Gasso. The win was Baylor's 10th in the series as OU holds a 43-10 series lead.

Keilani Ricketts took the loss for the Sooners and fell to 14-4 while Courtney Repka moved to 10-3 for the Bears. Ricketts allowed five hits and one unearned run while striking out four Baylor batters and walking two.

Both teams struggled to plate runners as Oklahoma left seven runners on base while nine Bears were left on base. For OU, it was the fifth time in six games that at least seven Sooner base runners were left on base. The two teams put together scoring opportunities with loaded bases in the fourth inning, but Ricketts and Repka got themselves out of their respective jams without giving up a run.

Baylor got its first run of the weekend in the bottom of the fifth as Kathy Shelton singled to lead off the inning before stealing second after back-to-back outs. A sharp Holly Holl hit to the right side of Oklahoma's defense was misplayed as Georgia Casey's throw to first was over the head of Lauren Chamberlain and Shelton raced around third to put the game's first run on the scoreboard.

A Javen Henson shot to deep left in the top of the seventh looked as though the sophomore was close to tying the game but Baylor leftfield Sydney Wilson made a catch at the top of the wall to end the at bat.

The Sooners return to action on Wednesday with the first leg of the 2012 Bedlam as they take on Oklahoma State at 7:30 p.m. as ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. OU opens up home Big 12 play next weekend as Kansas travels to Norman for a three-game series beginning Friday at 7 p.m.
