NORMAN, Okla. -- Oklahoma head coach Sherri Coale said she hasn't seen a lot of Michigan this season.
But what she's seen has her impressed.
"Just scrappy," she said of the Wolverines, who will take on the Sooners at 6:30 p.m. Sunday inside the Lloyd Noble Center. "They play really tough man defense and share the ball really well. They don"t have a go-to play but they move the ball well. They seem to be really tough."
No. 11 seed Michigan went 8-8 in Big Ten play. The Wolverines lost to Ohio State in the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Championship but beat the Buckeyes once in the regular season. Michigan also has a win over Iowa State -- a team the Sooners have split a pair of games with this season.

Michigan head coach Kevin Borseth calls his offense "equal opportunity" and it shows in the box scores. Six different Wolverines have led the team in scoring, five have totaled more than 100 rebounds and six count more than one assist per game.
According to Women's Tournament Committee Chairperson Greg Christopher, the Wolverines were one of the last four teams selected as an at-large pick. It's Michigan's first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2001.

Tuesday wasn't Oklahoma's first practice of the week, but its was the first with an opponent in mind. On the court for the first time since learning its first round opponent Monday night, the Sooners ran through drills on the Lloyd Noble Center's main court for two hours. The conditioning-oriented workout was more reminiscent of the preseason practices than a tune-up for a basketball game.
That's all part of the plan, though, as Oklahoma will take Wednesday off for rest and recovery before beginning its preparation for Michigan Thursday afternoon. The Sooners will have a final workout Friday before the NCAA schedule dictates their movements through the rest of the weekend.
