NORMAN, Okla. – The 31st-ranked Oklahoma women's tennis team heads to Fayetteville, Ark., for a two-match weekend at Billingsley Tennis Center against No. 32 Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 10 at 11 a.m., and No. 25 Yale on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 11 a.m.

“We are looking forward to some more difficult challenges this weekend in Arkansas,” OU head coach David Mullins said. “We have had some great matches with Arkansas in recent years and Yale is having a great season so far.

“Hopefully, I will continue to see the improvements I am looking for,” Mullins added.

Oklahoma (4-2) enters the weekend after losing to No. 20 Tulsa, 5-2, on Saturday, Feb. 4 at TU's Michael D. Case Center.

The Sooners' two dual points came from their freshmen, Abbi Melrose and Nicole Long, at the No. 4 and No. 6 singles positions.

Leading the way for OU are Marie-Pier Huet and Whitney Ritchie.  The duo, ranked No. 22 nationally in doubles, is undefeated this season at the No. 1 doubles position.

Arkansas (5-1) will see its third straight Big 12 opponent in Oklahoma Friday.  Arkansas defeated Oklahoma State, 4-3, on Feb. 4 and Kansas State, 5-2, on Feb. 5.

The Razorbacks' only loss this season was to Nebraska, 5-2, during ITA Kick-Off Weekend at Northwestern.
